I hope you do get Master P's gold toilet.

If he does, I know where I want to drop a deuce in SF.

It's an early, extremely rare wind-up bu Marusan. The one in the Yuji toy book has painted eyes. This one looks a little beat.

Thought it was a model kit too. Sadly this one is in the US looking to return home. I think the 300K was a reserve and no one bid even half of it.

Wow, nearly 3k for a box. Looks like it belongs to the second guy from the right, Green Ghost C3.

the exchange rate now is about 88:1 so that's more like $3250. how much would that toy by itself sell for? i find it sort of hilarious when the packaging becomes more valuable than the contents (happens with book dustjackets too).

The jumbo guys would have to chime in here, but these boxes are not as valuable as the toys. The jumbo villains are sought after not only by jumbo collectors but by vinyl and super robot collectors in general. The box does add quite a bit of value to a loose toy. Jumbos, and especially their boxes, are quite large and many were thrown away making them very desirable today.

...and that Garamon is a thing of beauty!!!

I believe this is only the second known box for Guren Ghost C3. The first one sold with a specimen with very warped legs for maybe 1.1 million yen.

Those are the boxes that I skipped buying anything at Morphy's for. Lost on both, making me very, very sad to have come away with nothing overall. :(

Would have tried harder on the Taihou, but I don't have the toy and it's the "easiest" to get. Man, I love those boxes though. So beautiful...

It makes the king Bockle from the Morphy auction look like the steal of a price that it was!

I managed to get one box in that big lot of boxes that came out for my Yonezawa walking Mirrorman! Psyched!

Next up: Top Secret!
