Carded set of Clover Xabungle vinyls:

It tasks me, it tasks me! I'm tempted to buy it because the price isn't bad, but then 1) I'd be tempted to de-card it, which is blasphemous, and 2) I'd be tempted to collect the rest.

Probably just best not to bid. ;p

I can't remember the third vintage Dabulas vinyl, but I'm pretty sure it's not this. Which would make this number 4. Not sure if these are supposed to be pencil toppers or finger puppets or what. I'm assuming they are in fact vinyl anyway.

On first glance I thought that perhaps these were some sort of AM5 helmut or something? Running a translation on the auction didn't provide much insite either. Anyone?

That's the rubber "monster womb" that comes with the Popy Big Scale Battle Shark from Battle Fever J:

Every episode it would give birth to the monster of the week. It's normally stuffed with little erasers.

damn ,that was quick roger ! toybox dx is a great place to lurk around and find a lot of facinating stuff .

Image bandai inazuman sold for 291000 yen . probably still the only piece brian needs for his inazuman collection . sorry it didnt work out for you brian .

Sun Sep 23, 2007 2:45 pm

For the unitiated, what makes this particular Inazuman so pricey? Simply rarity or hard to find in good condition?

Sun Sep 23, 2007 3:07 pm

I would imagine most of them got their antenneas chewed off by little japanese kids in the 1970's.

Sun Sep 23, 2007 4:56 pm

Gorgeous piece.

Tue Sep 25, 2007 7:10 pm

the bandai inazuman is just one of those stuipidly rare pieces that you just never see . my heart goes out to you brian as i know how badly it sucks to lose an auction like this .

Tue Sep 25, 2007 7:15 pm

Image really need to come up with a new way of saying " never seen this before " . cant be sure but it really looks like a takoda sculpt . anyway , i got smoked on this auction as it went for 61500 .

The fact that these Transformers are vinyls only makes them marginally cool.

Thu Sep 27, 2007 2:25 pm

But didn't you just buy that little vinyl Jetfire? I could have sworn that I saw it in a thread recently...

Oh, you silly goose.

(Actualy, you just gave me an idea for a custom if I ever get another VF-1S.)

i think there were a few larger transformers vinyls too that were pretty cool. i lost a few auctions for some years ago, but eventually stopped collecting transformers, so i havent looked for any in a long time.

I'll have to start looking for these. I wasn't aware of any TF vinyls other than the talky ones released a few years back as a JP Botcon (or some-con) exclusive. Those might not even have been vinyl, but they looked like it.

Those talky ones were vinyl, I'm pretty sure, and I saw some on my last trip but they were pricey.

The minis pictured above, on the other hand, were plentiful. Mandarake Umeda had a bunch of the Optimus Primes and Galvatrons loose in bags for about 800 yen each. I think they were originally sold in a boxed set.
