Post Remember Boglins?
I had this one. I used to loves these dudes when I was a kid.
The face on the upcoming Oozebat made me think of them.

I miss my BOGLIN!
His name was Drool.

I agree. It's like kids stopped wanting boogers and blood and slime? WTF??!?! I know you can say "corporations don't" but they DO test studies to see what will sell best, I WANT MY KIDS TO GROW UP ON VOMIT AND TOXIC WASTE DAMN IT!

Boglins rule, and I never forgot. They always creeped my sister out in the aisle when we hit the toys at stores.

I had 2 of the "Soggy" Boglins that looked like sea creatures. I had a fish that squirted water and a crab with a plastic clamping claw. I used to play with them in the bath.

Yeah you see the dudes pop up frequently if you can look past scruffy packaging.

You mean kinnikuman or M.U.S.C.L.E.S.? Yes. I remember them.

Or do you mean like Hulk Hogan? Cause I remember him too.

I suppose my answer is yes. :D

It's the original Japanese name for the MUSCLES toys.

Yeah Kinnikuman literally means Muscle Man.

M.u.s.c.l.e. means "Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere"

Now ya know, and knowing is half the battle!

I love em too!

It all went downhill after a kid choked on a Battlestar Galactica missile. Lawsuits slowly came to pass. And the next thing you know the 1980s are mixed with cool toys on the one hand, and parents groups going apeshit and overprotecting children.

Past the 80s, it all became "educational". Fun!

What is YJA ? And why buyer beware?

I personally have about 80 M.U.S.C.L.E.S (many repeats) so I won't need anymore but I was curious about the beware part...

I would have thought that they would have gone up in value more than they have....

YJA is "Yahoo! Japan Auctions."

But as far as buyer beware, I must say I have had nothing but glowingly positive experiences with things I bought on Yahoo! Japan Auctions. I hate to say it, but Japanese culture really respects the buyer/seller relationship and the listings and details YJA sellers provide make eBay auctions look like crap and a scam in comparison.

The only thing any newbie to YJA should know—especially if they buy lots of parts/figures—is most autotranslated text says stuff like "Junk Lot of Items" or "Junk Things".

I'm not too sure what the Japanese word is, but it's not exactly "junk" but it means a loose lot of non-mint parts.

And I've found a lot of "gold" in those piles of "junk" ;)
