 Mexican Coffin Toys!
FINALLY got down to some photo taking of my favorite collection. A big heap of thanks to Dr. Tongue for helping me fill some empty spots! Enjoy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/paulkaiju/sets/72157627317240542/

 Re: Mexican Coffin Toys!
Wow! Most fascinating! Do you know if they have any connection to Mexican folklore beyond the obvious "Dia de Los Muertos"? My fav is the wrestler. Still wearing his cape..

There's no real "obvious" connection to anything really, it's a mix of all the good stuff. The woman i bought my first set from told me these were sold outside of Wrestling events.

 Re: Mexican Coffin Toys!
Totally brain-tearing, mind blowingly different and yet familiar. You've got some great stuff there! Never could have imagined such things, do they ever show up retail this side of the border?

 Re: Mexican Coffin Toys!
whoa - as if i needed a whole 'nother set of stuff to pursue... these are beyond cool!
how long did it take you to accumulate so many of them? they don't seem to be readily available at the moment, but i've only just begun my search...
in any case, thanks for sharing the pics, these really are neat little toys.

 Re: Mexican Coffin Toys!
Those look pretty fragile, how do they work. Do they pop up or does that little switch do something?

 Re: Mexican Coffin Toys!
way cool.
i have a 'haunted mansion' (movie) toy that works the same way, but these are clearly more fun...
