The return of HMS does not bother me, in fact, I like him here, I think that no one really gets the fact that everything he says is sarcastic. Besides he collects Obake Dogs and I can make fun of him for it. That said, it is making fun of him, not trying to escalate a flame war in a thread about it. That is the distinction.

Liquidsky is indeed OG as all hell. Good guy too. Having both him and HMS around helps. I did not think about the influx of pre-post SDCC stress or perceived threats form other folks. Interesting points.

What they should do is when they send an auto-response confirming a new account, include links to Flynn's FAQs.

Oh, it was noticed! That was an amazing display of restraint. I just hope you (and others) don't always show such restraint...every now and then there's a head that's just begging for someone to go upside it.

This place could definitely stand more input from women, although I wonder if people are assuming that some of the female Skullbrainers who contribute aren't women? I mean, a name like "godzillagirl" is obvious, but "Mr. Humphreys" isn't, necessarily. Well, unless you've met the wonderful Mr. Humphreys.

What's really on my mind is that every now and then, I wish a little more respect for women as our fellow collectors was shown by some of the guys. Nothing against brodowns or dude mentality but sometimes it gets a little "locker room" around here and I can only imagine what the women 'Brainers are thinking. Probably doing this:

I actually avoided joining SB for a long time due to some of the horror stories I heard. So I would just stop in and read the public stuff, see what was going on and move along. I finally did decide to join and was terrified about my early posts and of being ripped apart as fresh meat.

But I found that I had nothing to be scared about. Folks were nice, I bought stuff, I've sold stuff, I've traded stuff, I got a few pointers posted for me in a thread but nothing out of line and overall I really enjoy it here.

Lee keeps telling me it's the boobs, but I prefer to think it's my winning personality.

I wouldn't trust Lee's boobs.

Now that is some of the best advice I, or any newbie, could get.

Its cause you came here with knowledge, and you introduced your self with photos of your collection. and proved you want to be part of the community.

Same with me I slipped in when the ocean was calm, met people at S7 shows and fit in. I have gotten some kicking into place and it made me a fine S7 citizen.

Glad I read this and all of the other posts about rules and what to do and not to do here. I know my tastes aren't totally the same as the hardcore Kaiju peeps, but I do appreciate it and I'm here to learn more about it.
And toy collecting is like everything else in life, its the differences that make it interesting. I love looking at people's collections no matter what they are into. It would be boring if we were just getting to see the same stuff over and over.
And one more thing from this Newbie, you guys should be happy that I don't collect what you might collect, because I got a grip of money and I love to spend it on toys. So it's one less person chasing after a Bemon or Nag. HAhaha........ later Milton C. aka MILTRON

did the wolves and jesus have to fight it out in Mario park during SDCC? i didn't buy my sdcc tickets 10 years in advance as is customary before sellout these days. i really hope jesus lost. not that i have anything against jesus, but if the loser has to sell his entire collection, i want to be there when the post shows up in the For Sale section. i bet jesus has a pretty massive collection, being the son of god and all....
