probably dumb questions about messaging here

Sun Mar 30, 2014 3:35 pm

1.) What is the difference between OUTBOX and SENT folder? Does OUTBOX have mail that has not been read yet by the recipient? Have the messages in out box actually been sent? I am sure this is probably a really lame question, but I honestly don't know

2.) What is this friends and foes thing? Is foes a way of blocking messages? How does marking someone a friend make things different message-wise?

Hope I don't make any foes with my ignorance here.

Thanks

cindy

OUTBOX is where a message stays until it has been opened by the recipient - the person that you've written to receives a notice that they have a PM, but you still have the option of deleting what you've sent up until the point that the missive is actually opened. Once a PM is opened it automatically transfers to your SENT folder.

Marking someone as a friend places them on a list that displays for you whenever you are in your message center, and it makes it so that you can tell when they are online - if they have allowed for that fact to be visible. Marking someone as a foe makes it so you have to actually click on one of their postings to see what they have written. I'm not certain how the system handles a PM sent to you by a foe.

Thanks! I kind of thought that was what the outbox/ sent folder was about, but wasn't sure

Appreciate it
