What's up New York!

Sat Dec 29, 2007 10:10 pm

This Forum is for the New York, Boston and Philly folks to act all east cost like. I guess the Jersey kids are probably welcome too but I've never really understood how all that "back east" stuff works. Anyway, feel free to post about local goings on or just make fun of us west coasters. However, I suggest you don't forget Lamour Supreme is watching and you don't want his amazing talents directed towards your ill will.

If you hate the name of the forum suggest another. Seeing how Flynn is Edge I recognize this is totally inappropriate. I will change it when Lamour asks me to.

Big thanks to Lamour for being the MOD

Lamour - YES! The new sound of New York from a super talented artist, and a guy who knows what's up!!!! Excellent! Booster!...errr....Turbo?

I was thinking more along the line of NYC Mayhem.....which became Straight Ahead.

Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:26 am

I think we should leave it up to the East Coasters.

Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:29 am

Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:31 am

I like straight ahead way better than NYC mayhem. Lamour will have a good opinion on this too. Ok now back to your regularly scheduled NYXSB forum.

Sun Dec 30, 2007 12:42 am

since Youth is from there, I'll vote yes. My vote is for Token Entry. I really do miss the old New York.

Cool a NYC board. I'll be in the city in April. 8)

Sun Dec 30, 2007 3:13 am

cool...a NY section. I'm in NYC almost every year to visit relatives. I know I'll be there in early 2008 for family business so I'll be checking this section out frequently. Looks like Lamour is having a great start to the New Year with the RxH release and now a Mod for this section. Gratz!

I've always considered April LE TEMPS DE L'AMOUR. Hit us up when you arrive.

Well I used to live in NYC but have temporarily moved to Buffalo. Anyone else from this board around Buffalo? Beginning to think I'm the only Kaiju collector in the area. I think everyone else collects snow and awful sabres/bills merchandise!

BTW the "A knife a fork a bottle and a cork" line isn't that a reference to the Information Society track "A Knife and a Fork" off of Hack? I can't recall where the original sample comes from. Do I win a prize? Is it free kaiju?

:P

It’s 4:30 in the morn’
I’m tattered, tired and torn
Trying to keep up the pace,
This ain’t my home, this ain’t my place
The candle keeps on burning
At this point there’s no returning
The policy is clear, anything goes when you are here
Almost anything goes
From the nightclubs to the shows
Almost anything goes
From the haircuts to the clothes
Almost anything goes
From your head down to your toes
Almost anything goes,
Does this place ever close?
I wanna wake up in a city
That likes to go to bed
Where they know what time of day it is
But I’m stuck here instead
The rules are disregarded
So it’s time we all got started
Moving at this hyperspeed
This city seems to need
Nice place to visit but I don’t wanna die here
I stay on my toes wherever I go by
I was killing all my money,
Spending brain cells just as fast
So I’ll grab a taxi cab, head somewhere I can crash
Driver, port authority
Home’s my destination
Don’t wake me up till we’re near
Park street station
There’s this electric lure that’s sometimes so attractive
But I’d rather hang my hat on a hook that’s not so active
I was walking on the wild side, I was in that state of mind
The neon lights were bright
But I’ll be leaving them behind
Big city of dreams can be a nightmare
A knife, a fork a bottle, a cork I’m outta here
