Post Live From Tokyo- Asia Society this friday 10/29
Hi locals.
I know its kind of short notice, but a few of my friends made a documentary about the tokyo underground music scene that i thought may be of interest to some of you.. The US premier is this friday at the Asia Society on the upper east side of things and it should be a pretty fun time. screening, Q&A with the directors, and a reception with free Asahi dry after. In addition, it corresponds with the yoshitomo nara show which is going on at the same location

they put together lots of cool footage and some interesting interviews, and the bands covered include DMBQ, tenniscoats, Shugo Tokumaru, Nisennenmondai, PARA (ex-Boredoms), Kirihito, d.v.d., and a ton more

here's a link to the trailer:

and here's a link to the asia society website where you can buy tickets:
http://asiasociety.org/events-calendar/live-tokyo

would be cool to see some of you there, if this type of thing is of interest. if not,, that's cool, too

Edit: asia society museum on 71st and lex, just fyi
