 Re: 09's hardcore fest
I think you meant 90s hardcore fest and I will be attending. I was just trading PMs with smiling idiot about this. I think this will be my unofficial high school reunion. Stoked on hanging out with old friends as much as seeing the bands.
Hoping BURN gets added to this.

The Amebix are playing in Los Angeles in January. I can't wait. I can't believe they got back together. One of my favorite bands of all time.

I'm gonna be there, since I live in Chicago and the venue is only a few blocks away. That show is gonna be awesome! We can definitely meet up and go for a toy run to Roto. The both airports in Chicago are not anywhere near the venue, but I can help you out with directions on the trains/subways to get you where you need to go. Chicago is fairly easy to get around on public transportation.

 Re: 09's hardcore fest
I totally blanked when tickets were going on sale and found out the next day they were gone. I would like to go, and might attempt to go if I can find a way, but it will not be the worst thing ever if I can't. I just hope out of towners going actually check out the local openers, as Thought Crusade and Harms Way are both really good.

 Re: 09's hardcore fest
I like Amebix but have never owned any albums. Although everything ive heard I've enjoyed as they struck me as having the same sort of production sound as killing joke. Maybe Im far off but I see similarities in the band.

I love Amebix, and if they came to Chicago, I'd definitely be there...but I wouldn't fly out to LA to see them.

thanks again and looking forward to hooking up with yalllllll There are a few hotels that close, but this one is pretty close to the venue and I've stayed there before so it isn't shady: Best Western Hawthorne Terrace Hotel3434 N. Broadway Ave. Chicago, IL 60657 (773) 244-3434 You can find other hotels by doing a search of hotels near Wrigley Field (the venue is down the street). A listing of some hotels can be found here.
