Got my tickets online last night. A local comic shop had a few tickets they were giving away, but I missed out.

I don't have Mark or Jim's contact info.. Guess I can message Mark Via twitter. We could find a place to eat in the Boca area or if someone has something else in mind let me know. Would be cool if we could make a plan.
Let me know if you have any ideas Kingboy D.

Well, although I've never been here, I've heard from family that Kyogin is good:

All you can eat buffet. Not too far away. My bro says it smells a little musty, but the food is great. ;)

It sounds like both Jim and Mark will be tied up beforehand with the Morikami people.

And now I'm finding out I might not be able to attend at all! Friggin work schedule. :x I am getting very pissed. I've been looking forward to this for a looooong time.

I might still make it, albeit kinda late. Its just all up in the air. Depends on meeting lengths, after-meetings, traffic, etc. Still, keep me posted on any pre-talk gatherings in case, by some miracle, things work out.

Geekabilly and I made it out to the show last night. Mark and Jim each gave great presentations on the history of Kaiju toys and how they got involved. I didnt take any pictures as the collection on display didnt change that much since my first visit. Definitely had a good time.

Of course you did - you won the raffle! ;)

Yes, it was a lot of fun. I arrived late so I didn't really get a chance to actually look in detail at all the toys on display or really chat with anyone. I did manage to quickly snap pics before being told that no photos were allowed. The talk was in another area of the museum. Guess I'll have to try to go back another day, and enjoy the gardens at the same time.

I do plan on doing a detailed write-up on another site, but I'll link it here when I finally finish it up (might take a while).

Jim's got a real nice collection with a mix of vintage and modern vinyls. And it was nice to be able to chat with Mark again. Overall, a great experience.

The Monster Invasion was a good time with a good turnout.
Here are some pics I took of the event:

I thought people here might be interested in seeing the (awful, but, y'know, existing) recordings of the talk Jim Levy gave at the Morikami Museum kaiju exhibit from 2010... I recorded Mark Nagata's portion of the presentation too, but alas, I corrupted the files somehow. Here's what I salvaged from my camera:
