Post Back to the Cali grindstone!
Back in SD getting adjusted.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all you peeps that were at my show. Putting faces and real life personalities to board names is the best part.

Such great people and I'm already thinking about going back to St. Pete.
Great beer, food ,and people watching supreme!

A big thanks to Scott and Lauren, they really worked hard to bring this!

I'll be a regular here in Kaiju Carnies from now on that's for sure!
:D

Post Re: Back to the Cali grindstone!
Thanks for coming out and spending time with us here down in Tampa/St. Pete Paul. Glad to hear you made it back safe and sound.

We're happy to have you over here in this corner of SB and looking forward to your next trip out :).
Keep Monsters in the Mangroves in May in mind (alliteration unintentional).

And, yes - A HUGE thanks to Scott and Lauren for keeping all this great stuff rolling!

PS - here's a little factoid for you... Just outside of Tampa there's a little town called Gibsonton. Gibsonton was the winter home of a bunch of Circus Sideshow workers or Carnies if you will. Apparently, the Sideshow industry isn't what it used to be but Gibsonton is still there and a number of those folks still live there.

X-Files Episode based on Gibsonton - Humbug

There's also the Ringling Circus Museum down in Sarasota along w/ a large Renaissance & Baroque collection on the same grounds. And some Sears Catalog homes where some of the circus performers and munchkin cast of Wizard of Oz lived. And...

So, yeah, I've never asked Scott about it but my money is that's where the Kaiju Carnies name comes from. And now you know ;)

Great big THANK YOU to you Paul for making the long trip and bringing such fantastic toys with you. Hope to see you again soon.

Poorbadger, great meeting you as well. I hope your wife feels better.
.....and thanks for the Gibsonton info, I've lived in Florida all my life and never knew any of that. I will have to check it out.
