I'm going to try. I'm trying to bring the wifey because she's never been to japantown or s7 but it depends if we can swing a babysitter...but I've never been to an "event" there so I'm hoping to make it and meet some people.

I would but he's only 18 months and he's in bed, wiped out by 6pm. (he's up at 620am everyday)

We also looked at the promethius(sp?) properties.
What a disappointment! It was decided that Cupertino is way out of our price range for what we want. A 1bd/1bath at The Biltmore was $1860. Our king size bed wouldn't even fit in the bedroom. I asked the lady showing us around about the rent increases after our lease is up and she said it happens. It goes up anywhere between 10-20%. Yuck!

We also looked at a few places around San Jose. One place on North King road. Ghetto! but the price was decent for 2 bedroom/2 bath.

Eitherway, we are hooked on the old ophanage. 2 bedroom/2 1/2 bathrooms. 2 story and a huge patio over looking the pool area.

Congrats on finding a place! Sounds like a good deal for the size of the place you will be renting... barring any additional (prior) residents, that is.

We got to see inside and the girl and her daughter that live there now keep it decent. Landlord said he is going to recarpet before we move in! So thats always nce.

When he was showing us the place he said that when the were redoing it the contractors found little notes in the basement from the kids saying things like "help they are keeping us trapped down here" It also has these plaques of childrens faces above the entrance that remind me of the kids from House on Haunted Hill (i think that was the name of the movie) Totally freaky!

Sadly, I doubt there will be any Halloween parties as it has a very reserved HOA and the list of rules might be quite long.

I don't think they know what they are getting themselves into with us!
