Re: burger files
GQ Burger of the Year? That's some serious hype. Doesn't look like much, but hopefully will live up to at least some of the expectation.

Re: burger files
last trip to l.a. went to juicy burger they over cooked my patty, so i guess i can't really judge it. but everyone else liked it. i did take a bite of my brother's burger and i thought it was okay.

Re: burger files
^^That burger looks great but the top portion of the bun is ridiculous. It might just be the angle but that's a lot of bread.

Re: burger files
haha... it is that tall, but it was easily squishable and airy. so not as much bread as it seems.

Re: burger files
Next time you're in LA drop by Suzanne Goin's restaurant Lucques for lunch. I recently had one of the best burgers I have had in a long time (and I eat a lot of burgers). It's called the Triple Pork Burger. The patty is made with ground pork, bacon, and chorizo. Cheese and aioli are melted on and form almost a crust on top of the meat. Super flavorful and perfect texture.
They also serve it at Suzanne's other joint, The Tavern.

Re: burger files
Alright, once again had another amazing burger at Miho. The portion is a bit on the small side when compared to Hodad's, but I think they're still filling and keep my belly button smiling. They have a new menu every month, each with a different burger. This one included: Grass fed Tallgrass beef, all natural cheddar, grilled balsamic red onion, local butter leaf, hand made french dressing, local brioche bunI think one of my favorite things about their burgers are the bun. Served with Belgian style fries and their homemade chipotle ketchup! They also have different homemade ketchups at times. The only reason the fries portion there is small is because I had them split one order of fries between my girlfriend and I

Just had this burger over at Umami Burger here in LA. "Hog Heaven": Pork belly patty, bacon, spicy aioli, crushed avocado, and cippolini onions.
