Just came back from a long run and some weights, and I am hungreeee! 1/2 pound of Sees (with nuts) gone in 15 mins. with a good strong mug of coffee. Kittee is making me feel very guilty and is demanding treats as I gooble down some sushi (dessert is always first! :P )

Arrgh! Got pulled over by the fuzzies for a "fix-it" ticket. My head-light blew out yesterday, and with my luck, I saw the flashing lights behind me and figured...   . $10 and 20 mins later, they let me go. It's not so much the ticket, but a pain to go to a police station to have them sign off on repairs, and then send the ticket in. Can't they go and fight real crime at 12:30 am? :x

Do what I do. Interrupt something they are doing. Like coming out of Starbucks with a latte and danish, and have them sign off on it right there.
You still gotta send it in but...

Re: Does BASK NOT sleep?

That's crazy you have to have them sign it. Last time I had a tail light out all I have to do was sign a paper saying I got it fixed and mail it in. Technically you could get away with not even fixing it, but if you got pulled over again for it again I'm sure you could get a bigger fine.

It's almost 1 AM. It's brainless rant time.

So clearly "Superbad" rules them all. Pretty much flawless genre flick. "Knocked Up" and "The Forty Year Old Virgin" are darned good, "Pineapple Express" doesn't seem to be working, hm. "Role Models" is completely unwatchable or maybe I'm just trying to see too many of these vaguely or directly Apatow-related movies in a short period of time, and "Observe and Report" I don't know. I liked it but it felt too calculated-cool to be real-cool. Plus it's disguised as a comedy but it's not, which sort of works and sort of doesn't.

I just finished "Saw IV" and now I have to rent "Saw V" to say I got through them all, also in a short period of time. The first one is classic-good. The second one can be fun if you think of it as a sort of teen/slasher 80s movie, but the director isn't nearly as good as the first one and some dumb decisions regarding the mythology were made. The third one is trying way too hard and at one point crosses the line from psychological horror into torture porn and continues down what feel like the wrong paths for the series. The guy who plays Jigsaw is the best thing about the movies after the first one. He's consistently interesting and creates a memorable sociopath. "Saw IV" is just bad. It's just a real mess of a movie, way beyond completely unbelievable and ... well this isn't fair because I'm actually still about fifteen minutes from the end, so I don't know what this entry's Big Plot Twist is going to be yet. Some say that "Saw V" is the return to form, the best one after the first one. I can't imagine that but we'll see. Please let V be good. There has to be some payoff for this commitment.

It's 1:00 AM.

/rant

Believe me, I've been looking for one or two police-persons to shanghai by chance, but they are never there when you need one :x . Hubby bought a replacement bulb the next day and fixed it (I keep odd night hours, so it had to be fixed for safety), now I just have to have the ticket signed and sent in with the $10. Hmm... did anyone ever notice that there aren't as many donut shops as in the "old" days? Mmmmm... want a choc eclair! ...or a nice flakey buttery choc Napoleon :-9

2:12 am, after a long session of lifting. I feel like I've been run through a meat grinder. I KNOW I'm gonna feel those muscles scream in 2 days. Gotta get in shape for summer backpacking :P

2:16 am, Kittee is trying to tell me I owe him another can of Seafood Feast ....nooooooooowwwwwwww yeow meoooww! He is NOT enjoying his new Science Diet dry kibble - the LITE version :)

2:18 am, listening to
http://www.livefromdarylshouse.com/index.php?page=ep16
while returning RedYoda's email :P sooo excited by surprises!

2:28 am, Kittee gave up trying to beg for food and is snoring... loudly :P

2:58 am, finished email, placed 3 toy requests to Tokyobuyers for old toys on JPY, and just got busted by Hubby, who is demanding I "go to bed!"... ergh! :x :x :x

Are you across the "pond" or back? Have you ever attended the Taiwan toy festival?
I have the whole week off (wheeeee!), so I haven't been going to bed until 5 or unless Hubby comes into the computer room and makes me go to bed

Nope, never been to TTF.
Would love to attend but it's too close to SDCC.

Ate some dumplings this morning for breakfast.
And yes, food in TW is pretty DAMN good.
And it's cheap as heck too.
I can start a new blog just on all the food I've eaten so far and the pics I've taken.

Haven't had time to stop for groceries, so I am eating Trader Joes fish sticks and soup...bleh! Hubby ate all the Silver House Ma Pah Tofu, Peking Ribs, and Salt Pepper fried shrimp, before I got home :x ...but there is lots of ice cream! :P

Will get around to posting food pics.
Need to organize and upload them first.

And do you like fish sticks?
Do you like to put fish sticks in your mouth?

Fish sticks are ok, they remind me of being a kid again. I got tired of them, so I whipped up a butter-rich batch of pancakes, yum! With lots of maple syrup and fresh berries! :P ...much better now :P

Just peeked into Dead President's Flickr, his Lucha Bears are stunning! Now I have bears on the brain
