Sunday 8/16: CRIME - San Francisco's Doomed Fest
Hey music heads, punks, ex punks, BASK peeps and all, next Sunday, August 16th there will be a show to benefit the San Francisco All-Ages Show Space Project at Sub-Mission. Show starts at 8pm, all ages are welcome of course. Cover is a recession-friendly $7.
Headlining band is the re-formed CRIME. As you probably know CRIME was one of the first and best of the bands that came out of the OG punk rock scene back in the late '70s. Mike Lucas (best known from The Phantom Surfers) is the new bassist and Brett from The Flakes joins as "the new Frankie." Original members Hank Rank and Johnny Strike are still with the band.
LouLou and the Guitarfish include the son and daughter of CRIME drummer Hank Rank. I regret that I don't know anything about the other bands but what the heck ... it's going to be a fun night of multigenerational rock'n'roll.
Hope to see ya there!
