Thanks Adam! Great job on this and the M10X checklist.

Should we add the Inter-changeables Series 2 "Cosmobot" and "Terrobot" to the list?
These are the 2 non-existant variations of Robotman that appear photographed
on the back of the M&D Toys Inter-changeables Series 2 packaging,
(though some Series 2 boxes still have the Hourtoy label).
(I know that you know this)

Good addition Dave. I hadn't added those as no one has ever found one and they're probably just spray paint and clay hahaha, but who knows what will turn up one day. If we could ever find a better photo to go from it would be nice to get a Terrobot head made.

Good catch Koji. I had seen those, but I didn't realize they were really released, I thought someone just customized them. Shit another bunch I have to track down. It never ends with Microman :(

Give me some time and I can assemble it for most of the stuff. I have a bunch of it and probably have pics somewhere of the missing stuff.

Here is a bunch of the stuff pictured. Most of these images are taken from http://www.microforever.com or http://www.innerspaceonline.com I highly recommend both of those sites if you want to learn more about Microman or Micronauts. They are truly the encyclopedias for this stuff.

I do. That shelf a few pics from the bottom is mine with the Crystal next to the HyperDrive. Here's another pic I found in my stuff as well:

I think the necklace was only a Micronauts salesperson sample. The only one I know of is in Dave W's (www.innerspaceonline.com) collection. There is some Kara jewelry too D-Lux!

Just posted some more scans. This time from a 1980 Microman Punch figure catalog that has a mockup drawing of what they call “Robotman 3” on this page and that would end up being formally named, “Robotman God Fighter”.

Keep on scannin’! Here is a cross-section from the 1970s Microman manga.

Re: Robotman Checklist

In turn that was the inspiration for my friend Matsumoto's CG poster he sold under license at WonderFest (I helped him with the English text some):

Image

Wow, I've never seen Godfighter Robotman shown as Robotman 3 before. Very cool concept artwork.

I'm actually working with a certain friend lately on getting together a Terrobot head made for casting. Hopefully it will turn out good. Maybe we'll do some other alternate heads and parts down the road if it works out.

Lastly, this list is missing Space Frog, that infamous weird Robotman K.O. :D

Re: Robotman Checklist

Welcome to the Micro corner of Skull Brain, Bry!

And yes, Space Frog is quite an amazing piece of knock-off work. Those kind of knock-offs amaze me more than straight knock-offs; someone clearly put some effort into creating it but for a small knock-off market?

Re: Robotman Checklist

Sat Dec 05, 2009 10:43 pm

Thanks!

Oops, missed that Matsumoto's poster had been posted not long ago here, it didn't load last time. Ah well, this one's a little bigger (though hotlinked from Matsumoto's site, hope he doesn't mind). I have it and his Giant Acroyear cross-section from the following WonFes on my wall, great stuff. He also did a horizontal-format one of just the Robotman's endoskeleton being serviced that I need to frame still.

Yeah, looking at Space Frog, I suspect they made the toy entirely from scratch except maybe the claws, and simply modeled it after Robotman rather than doing a straight copy, hence the changes and simplification in the details. I doubt even the internals are the same...

Whaaaaa ! This is so amazing !
I wish this forum was more active. I dont know much about these toys (my friends had some Micronauts when I was young, but somehow I though they were cheap and prefered getting SW figs and Lego instead :? ). I really like to see & learn about them and loving them from afar.

There is a lot of Micro knowledge on here is there is something you want to know more about specifically ask away and I'm sure you'll get the answer soon and then some.

I love all of the Base 2x0 stuff. It's a shame they closed down. I still have some photos of the shop that you sent me long ago. I'll dig them up and scan them. It was such a beautiful store. The custom Cocobats are insane.
