Thats it right there. They are two seperate things. Vinyl and resin shouldn't be compared to each other in my opinion, the only thing they have in common is that they both populate this....................hobby? for lack of a better term.

Look at that Hollis Price figure that just debuted at the con. Same character but two totally different vibes (as of right now, may not be the case when its painted.)

They both haves their pros and cons.... It all boils down to that age old saying "Buy what you like."

I think the comparision to music and the 'Bedroom' producer generation doesnt hold up.

In my experience some of the best music ever has been made once the ability is put back into the hands of the people, without having the mainstream music industary's money. It gets back to the original essence of what the music is suspose to be about without the elitism or the rare opportunity. Also people can afford to be more experimental with what they do- without having to worry about beng popular or even making a profit.

I feel the same can be said for resin toys- you strip away all the big production costs of making a vinyl toy and you get straight to the real 'Character' of what the toy is suspose to be about- i.e Concept, Sculpt, Colour.

Also- as with music and toys- I find the qualities of a product that maybe isnt quite as 'polished' or final to be a lot more interesting than somthing that is too refined.

Its Punk baby! :D
