Post old, broken and destroyed - organico
I finally got around to doing some stuff and making a few protos of an original motu style figure I've been working on called "Organico." A few results of the idea of destroyed and overly loved toys.

Post Re: old, broken and destroyed - organico
Thanks guys. I actually based two of the paints off of some of the first toys I made/painted years ago. I love putting hot pink with blue but organico really lends himself to the fire color. My original plan for him was more the green organic colors. Hopefully I'll have some more interesting things to show of him soon.

These were from back in '06:

The resurrected old ones are alright, but I really love the brand new figure. The wild colors and airbrushing are cool, but I can't help wonder how he's look finished up clean like another production character.

I'm really excited to be doing original figures again. I love the simulations and they are fun and I got to do some crazy casting with them, and have glowing motu stuff all around the house that never existed but its really cool to see something you created take form.
I plan on tryiing to do some more "character" based stuff with a few of the Organicos, but for now I'm having a lot of fun with the sprays. The yellow green is the closest to my original intent for organico, as a warrior who was cursed in the forest and vines slowly grew up around him until he took on a new form of man plant life. I was highly influenced by a lot of the bio tattoo work that has been gaining momentum.

The simulations started with skeletor as a fun way to try out some new/better molding techniques after my first figure. Then it just got out of hand. And what kid from the 80s doesn't want an army of glowing motu simulations or crazy clear ones all around the house? I have a few more big plans for some new simulations but probably be concentrating on sculpting and roto some stuff.

These are great! I love swirly multi-colored clear resin effects, and I love green! Beautiful.

Thanks guys. The organico is a couple different pours, where the merman is pieces of a heman simulation in blue cast in the yellow merman.

I've been playing around with painting over various glow in the dark resin pigments as opposed to just blank casts and rubs.

Grow in the Dark:

In the day light:

And since several people had asked about them old, broken and destroyed, hemen with rubbed paint, the last of the he man simulations.

Thanks guys, the rub he men are some of my favorites. It really shows the face sculpt and the body (taken from stratos), but also gives that look of an old weathered toy that was put outside after years of play to be found later. I love the purple glow in the dark resin painted, I wish it glowed purple instead of green, but am going to miss that one.

Distressed paint jobs are some of my all time favorites. My last set of resin monsters that I sent off to the lot f gallery were all multiple layers of rubs and sprays. It makes them feel like there's a history to them inspiring the imagination. Are you selling the pink one by the way?

I like that idea of history in them.

I'm going to have all of the final simulations up for sale in my big cartel this week, but anyone one here can get one before that if they want.

Finally got motivated and put the he man rubs up in my big cartel. A few more simulations are left to follow along with the glow Organicos.
