Well, it's been nearly a year, but I have finally managed to get make some molds of my Flinch!
Lots of trial and error in the mold making process... thought I'd share a photo of my mess!
The red streaks are remnants of uncured mold stuff from my failed first attempt (forgot to shake the activator!).
So yes, lot's to learn!
So each part cast separately, and then split lines cut into the silicone to pull them out. Works ok.
First pulls seems to have worked out ok, the sculpt has changed a bit in the neck area, it made sense to sculpt the feathers all the way up to the head.
The head is articulated but I think the legs will have to be glued in place to stop it from unbalancing.
It does stand very well on its own legs though which is a relief!
Anyway, I'm really enjoying experimenting.
