The best part is alot of it is just improvised. Middle of the show, a fly dive bombs his face. He proceeds to joke about the fly for the next 20 minutes. Funny as hell. Didn't think I'd ever see him live. It was weird, though....he wasn't decked out in tranny gear so he looked so....normal.

He's did a show last night and another tonight, here in Seattle. I think it was a pretty limited tour...did a couple in LA and a couple in Scottsdale.

What??!! How did I miss this? I love Eddie Izzard. I blame you for not keeping my social calendar more up-to-date, Chris.

he seems to have toned down all the make-up. Plus the facial hair makes the lip-stick look even more strange

If you guys dig british comedy and bit to**ent, go to http://www.digitaldistractions.org
I believe they have some Izzard as well as loads of amazing bbc series, etc.
Also for those who haven't discovered it yet, the Trailer Park Boys is the most amazing show to ever come out of Canada. Can't recommend it enough. This site has everything made so far...

Dead Ringers is pretty funny and Little Britain is hilarious.Doesn't Bottom have Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson in it (by the way, my all time favorite, like many around here I'm sure, is the Young Ones)? I've been meaning to give Trailer Park Boys a whirl...

Yeah, bottom is Mayall/Edmunson/etc...totally crude and slapstick...and great! Definitely check the TPB...starts off funny and just gets better with each season.

My recommendations for top Brit comedy:
Nathan Barley
The IT Crowd
Catherine Tate
Little Britain
Spaced
and Mighty Boosh - but I've only seen a couple, and liked one, but not teh other.
Also: WHEN WAS EDDIE ~IZZARD IN LA?????????? I saw him a couple of tours ago here = clever bloke!

I can't remember which series it is, I think it is I'm Alan Partridge where he lives at the hotel, but when I first saw the UK's "Office" I hought of this series. It has that same "you poor bastard" humour. Very funny.
Oh and Carl, PLEASE stop pushing Catherine Tate. I'm ith Parka - we're through.
