Post Horror movie question
So, I expect Skylar will post with an answer on this in no time flat…. :D

I’m looking to find info on a movie that I believe came out between ’79 and ’81, called The Children.

A school bus full of grade-school kids drives thru a cloud of poison/radioactive mist on a lonely back road; the bus is found empty by the sherriff a short while later. Naturally, the bad fuggum in that cloud turns the kids into homicidal, black-fingernailed ghouls with the power to caustically burn human flesh on contact. The rest of the movie is pretty much just these little creeps doing the inexorable zombie-walk back into town, melting the faces of one set of thrilled-to-see-their-missing-kids parents after another as they embrace (no adult suspicion is aroused by the stiff gait, black fingernails, the pale complexion, the low moans of “Mommmmyyyyy…”).

Does this C-grade masterpiece sound familiar to anyone?
I’m looking for any info that’s out there: reviews, articles, interviews, and any info on current availability (VHS or DVD).

Thanks!

haha missy pretty much summed it up there.

the Troma DVD is unfortunately pretty crappy. in true Troma fashion they didn't clean it up at all even though the box claims it's "remastered" and there is even an entire scene in which the end is clipped off.

they say they had a hard time finding a print, but that's bullshit because I've seen it screened theatrically on a much better print than the one they used for the DVD.

I actually had a VHS copy that was much better quality that the DVD at parts if you can believe that.
