 happy belated birthday...
to the blue guy! yeah thats right... lord krsna himself.
apparently yesterday was his birthday and this awesome vegetarian indian restaurant in santa monica had a free buffet at lunchtime. so i got in my car and rolled on down. on the buffet they had the obvious rice and naan. for entrees they had chana masala, saag (mustard greens and spices), some indian black bean dish that was awesome and another dish that was a combo of chopped cabbage and peas and spices. everything was awesome, i had 3 full plates of food.
i was about to go get dessert when this fuck up of a woman was piling food up on a plate (this was her second time up there and i believe she was reusing her plate, let me backtrack, they had styrofoam plates out)... and she was completely not paying attention when she tipped her plate and all her food started sliding off and into all the other food. she made a huge mess and to top it off she pulled the spoon out of the yogurt dessert and started scooping all the food out from the other items in the buffet. everything else was vegan so she got yogurt all over everything. pissed me off. but luckily i had 3 plates of food already in my belly, so i just took off.
i cant wait until next sept 4th.

the LA Fair starts this weekend. on the news this morning they interviewed one of the food vendors. his specialties were crazy fried things like oreos, twinkies, peanutbutter/banana/honey sandwiches, candy bars and even deep fried coca cola.

And speaking of odd meat sandwiches. I have always wanted to take a whole bologna boil it up and place it between a loaf of Italian bread. Huge hot dog

Good lord man! That's a recipe for disaster!
Please tell me you took half a bottle of Beano with that meal.
People can be so disgusting at buffets. I'd share some stories, but I'm getting a bit queasy just remembering them.

Mmmm, sounds like this was awesome.
Happy b-day, My Sweet Lord.
Again, I bemoan the lack of any decent Indian restos here in VT....
