Sorry Pickleloaf and Havingmysay, but you dudes don't have to live here and deal with these fucking mouth breathing sully fans daily...

Gotta echo jawkdna. I like you guys but try riding an ancient subway after a sox game. Dumb ass drunk bastards who are country mice in the city.
Someone please explain the allure of baseball...
Follow stocks through their ups and downs (highs and pains) and possibly make money. Baseball?

THIS OPEN MOUTHED MONGOLOID LOVED GAME 1 OF THE WORLD SERIES LAST NIGHT
the allure of baseball... hmmm
i love that it is a game of inches played on a giant field. if first base were 6 inches farther away or 6 inches closer to home plate it would be a different game completely. if home plate were 1 inch wider, same thing
i love statistics and stats in baseball in 2000 essentially mean the same thing as stats in 1900 (steroids, dead balls, etc. aside).
i love the history of the game for better or worse - what other american sport has teams dating back to the 1860s?
i love that you can have a conversation while watching a game - the games are almost comfortable and have a rhythm
i love the 1 on 1 game that happens with a pitcher and a hitter. a real showdown with 2 great players is a sweet thing to see
i love how i can feel exceitement with every single pitch thrown in anticipation of where it's going to end up. it's a constant roller coaster for me in a game i am into
i love how every park can be different, but the 90' to first and 60' from the pitcher's mound to home is a constant

I love my Sox but I hope this series doesn't turn into a blow-out, cuz last night's game was kinda boring after the 5th.
And I also hope they win it in 6 games, so there can be a TRUE Fenway celebration. Clinching a series win at Fenway needs to happen.

Don't get me wrong.. I've liked the Sox off and on since the days of Wade Boggs and I like Beckett and Schilling...
But to me I'd like to see the Rockies win some games and make a series and, gulp, possibly take it. My wife, son and I might possibly move to boulder so we have to have something to root for.
