I got about half-way through before giving up. Not a single example of actual "backmasking." The person who put this together is merely imposing words on the sounds of the voices run backwards. The "Number Nine" as "Turn me on, dead man" is probably the most famous example, as it was part of the silly "Paul is dead" hysteria. "Glass Onion" was in part a parody of this sort of craziness.
There are examples of backmasking in popular music, for example the bit at the beginning of the famous instrumental "Fire on High" by ELO. How this came to be considered "Satanic" by some is beyond me. It might have to do with a a brief scene from "The Exorcist."
Some have asserted that the brain can reverse "hidden messages" embedded in "backmask" tracks, and be "subliminally" influenced by said messages. This is a silly myth for which there is no scientific evidence.
Sorry to be a party pooper but again, these aren't examples of backmasking. It's just someone tripping on what words played backwards might sound like. The brain is hard-wired to impose order on unclear human speech. It's sort of an aural illusion to hear "words" where there aren't any.

Glad to hear you weigh in. Its the first time for me and I was surprised. I just have heard of it but never actually heard it before.

Yeah, there's been a lot of talk about this for decades. "Backmasking" even came to play in a court case regarding a couple of young men who tried to commit suicide (one succeeded IIRC) after drinking heavily while listening to some heavy metal music (Judas Priest IIRC) that allegedly had "back masked" tracks embedded. The band actually had to defend themselves in court. Sad case of parents trying to blame something for the tragedy. Almost as sad is the fact that the judge was ignorant enough to fall for the subliminal suggestion nonsense.
Just for fun, listen to the voices at the end of "Strawberry Fields Forever" some time. You can faintly hear a slightly slowed-down George saying "I'm very bored," which some fans eagerly misheard to be "I buried Paul" LOL. That's not what he's saying, but you can convince yourself that it is.
I think there's a bit from "Stairway to Heaven" that when played backwards, sounds like "My sweet Satan," but again, this is just an aural accident, not something actually planned or embedded by the band.
I should just shut up. The scary mythology is more fun than the boring truth.

Don't forget the Styx album Paradise Theatre. There is some evil back masking there boy! I think it was mainly to sell albums.
I use to think Rush's Tom Sawyer was trying to put a spell on me. I couldn't get "The world is, the world is, the world is round" out of my head.

Another one bites the dust has always made me want to go out and get high, and I don't even smoke pot, but now I know why.
Its fun to smoke marijuana, its fun to smoke marijuana.
I did enjoy that one. Isn't there a part in evil dead where they reverse the tape they find to here the backmasked message?

I just don't like pot, it makes me very mean and sarcastic to people for no reason which is weird. I just stick to drinking, ghb is basically like getting wasted minus the drinking so I am okay with it. Only done the actually stuff a few times but wasn't to worried about the aquadots doing much as an effective dose of liquid ghb for me is two capfuls mixed into a 12 ounce soda, preferably dr pepper. I am not a druggie, I dabble but I am 23 and its not like I am irresponsible so its not that big of a deal to me I suppose since its never negatively affected my life in any way.
It was more of I don't smoke pot because of a preference rather than oooo bad its a drug.
Anyways back to topic I used to own this Gemini turntable that had a reverse button on it and you could just listen to records backwards at the same RPM, never found anything weird on my own, most of the stuff they had I agree just sounds like imposed words onto sounds. The reverse feature only was good for a crazy effect on house records during a set

Doing a backwards set must be challenging. I heard and old school frankie bones tape he made backwards, needless to say it was awesome.
There is a way to play backwards on techniques. Its a I FART A LOT and not worth the hassle.
