Cronic Anankorons (sp?)

Got teh first two in a lucky bag at Hobby Complex 02. Tried to sell em and got no takers, the Doromes went instead. Then discovered I love 'em and that they are my favorite Cronic toy, and am so glad no one bought 'em.

Luckily there are considerably more 'never evers' than 'must haves' for me . . . the OG SB Obakes took some gettin' into but once I got one as part of a trade deal I was swayed! . . .

it pains me to admit this,,,manmachines...

the genital headgear just didn't cut the mustard for me at first...not until the skullrexs did i take real notice of exohead...i jumped right on those without hesitation..

then after getting the grodnoid and other recent MM releases,,,it all made sense..now the missing MMs are at the top of my list...

Flying Hedorah.

+1

just to clarify, you are referring to the actual flying hedorah and not the crawling hedorah from gargamel? I really like the crawling full size hedorah, but dont like how the flying hed really has no feet or base.

Not referring to Gargamel at all, although I too was one of those folks who didn't like the walking Hedoran at first, and now love it. Nah ... I just mean Hedorah toys in his "flying aspect" if that makes sense. I find them sort of ugly (but not in the good way) and think they'd present some display problems. I wasn't thinking of any one brand or toy, just flying Hedorah in general. I like walking, crawling, standing, transforming, "damaged eye" ... pretty much all other conventional Hedorah respresentations. It's cool when he flies in the movie though.

Oh come to think of it, I'm not really into the smokestack Hedorahs either, although I do think they're funny.

I didn't like Gargamel fight toys at first, but then the Warp brain started warming me up to them and once I got the SkullBee/Gargamess Thrash out set I fully started buying more Gargamess.

I'm still not much of a fan of the rest of them for some reason.

Usugrow Rebel Ink. Noooooooooooooooo chance. Just too "gangsta" for me with those baggy pants.

As far as dis-liked to love, Anraku Gorillas and Glutamins. I just didn't get it, than got some other Anraku, than it all just kind of clicked.

Didn't like the pics and liked them even less after seeing them in person.

Bemons. Initially, I thought they were just repulsive. Every time I'd see someone's photos, I'd think, ick! Chopped off stumpy arms. Weird curly nose... no thanks. Then, the love started to come through in the pics I kept seeing posted and *click* I finally got what the deal was about! ;-) They're the perfect blend of gross and cute to me now. Plus, they are just fascinating in hand.

Gargamel's Walking Hedorans. I loved the Zag and thought, hmmm, these guys are cool looking too... I think I'll get one and see what I think. Of course, I love them now... almost as much as the Std. Zag! (but not quite) Funny thing was with the first one I received in the mail, I took him out of his bag and thought he was defective! I had never seen a profile pic of him and was thinking he had traveled through the Mojave Desert to get to me! Yeah, I can be dim. :-D

Kaws. I never thought I'd want any. Except for the PusheadxKaws companions. I have one of those now. I also once thought I'd never spend over 60 bucks for one toy. delusional.

Well......

I agree with that!

I thought vinyls were so stupid, but then I found out how much they cost, and it was confirmed. I swore I'd never collect something so dumb.

Then a toy dealer /friend gave me an M1-Go Gamera figure. See, the first one was free, that's how they hooked me. I couldn't put it down. I went back the next day and bought a glow Daimon.

Now I'm stuck here in vinyl Hell with all of you.

never evers for me were gogas, anraku stuff generally, and the flat faced walking hedorahs. Now I'm obsesssed with getting as many as i can find.

Never ever and never will be are Bemons, RxH and pushead stuff which i think is butt-ugly - I can sort of see the appeal of Bemons (the paint schemes are amazing) but pushead I'll never get. Never liked his album art and like the toys even less.

i thought i'd hit this post one more time, and this time it's a firm never ever: cure boogie-men. i know these things got some hype and all amongst most of ya'll, but i can't help but thinking of Spencer Gifts halloween novelty toys that sit on the clearance rack all year round when seeing these...

Good topic, well Cronics I hated for a long time, then I got some 'cheap' and realized... I still hate em.
Not knocking his style, its original but one thing I will never get is the Bwana whale things... its not kaiju and I don't see why kaiju fans love em so much...

Oddly, what I originally hated was the RxH line, all of it. Saw some awesome customs and some great displays/collections, then picks some up now Im hooked.

I was into gargamel and a some secret base, but didnt think I'd collect real x head b/c they were just so odd, especially chaos, in fact i had a chace to buy fungus chaos the day it was released and i was like ehhh, but then one morning i woke up and was like i need rxh!!! maybe something in the water... but wat ever it is i love rxh and I jsut love it more and more where as my love for the others have jsut stayed about the same.

The one fig I cant grasp is bemon, seriously he's crazy looking but not crazy enught to make me want it. The 3 toxic sewer pipes on the back of his head is pretty rad but im just not into, maybe if there was a toxix gid one....
