no, but i will be in tokyo in a month. SDCC seems awesome but i really cannot justify spending so much money on going, especially since the US is one of the last places i want to visit. so many other countries i want to go before i even thinking of heading to the states.

aw c'mon, we don't suck that bad, despite what our (non) leader has been putting out there by way of vacation ads.

the thing is, i'm originally from england and i moved to australia when i was 8. culturally america is very similar to both places. even though i'm young (21 in may) i would say i have travelled alot more than even the average 30yr old so i think i have a different opinion since i have spent a fair amount of time overseas. when i was growing up, and even now, 95% of the people i know or have known either have no interest in travelling and if they do they only want to go to the US. this always blown my mind because (no offence to americans intended) the states seems so boring growing up in a similarly western culture country when there are so many other totally different and unique places to visit. i'm sure i would feel the same if i still lived in england and everyone was only interested in going to australia. i guess think its sad people don't want to experience different cultures and go outside their comfort zone. i will always be a lone traveller.

saying all that though, i would still LOVE to go to the states but there are so many places i want to go before. i have seen a big chunk of europe but would still love to go to brazil, norway, italy, south korea etc etc. and of course living in an isolated country like australia, travelling overseas isn't cheap.

Yeah, I'd actually do the same as well if I was born somewhere else in the world.
