Post Re: why??
I have done this in addition to asking specific questions about an item or origin if I know little about it. The only three times I have done it the person sold the item during the time and always regret just not buying it to begin with.
so far i missed a cheap anarchy zag, a weird smoking frog thingy and a dokuro king and wasted a few peoples time
Another skullbrain rule, shoot first, ask questions later.

Something else to watch out for is the people saying they'll buy certain figures when you agree to split up a group that maybe you wanted to initially sell as a lot. There'll be that one person who says they'll buy a particular piece but then they flake out. It seems to happen when there's one or two pieces that are a bit harder to find mixed with a couple more common ones. I could be wrong but sometimes I think it's friends just trying to help each other out. Maybe I'm being too jaded..

Post Re: why??
If I dont have the cash to pay within a reasonable amount of time (we all have cards max out, payments waiting to post, ect. ect.) I dont even attempt a pm. I did flake as well on someone but due to some pretty serious circumstances. The piece was still purchased and then some from that person. It was a mix between life and forgetfull, it happens.
But to ask for something hoping you can pay when the time comes is ridiculous and will kill your reputation as well as damage your character long term. I have only had 1 time that this happened (my fault) and since have made sure I can actually pay for what it is I want, period.

Post Re: why??
the thing i hate is a lot of people go apeshit on calling someone out for not being "rfso" when it comes to selling a piece that may seem priced high (which is wrong to do on this board) but people still pull this nonpayment shit on sellers here all the time on stuff priced well.
