I watch it sometimes just to remember that there are other toy people out there WAY more insane than I am!

I really loved Toypunks vol 1. and have re-watched it a few times.
I know this film focuses on emerging artists and new kaiju. The dvd features a little about Mark Nagata and his collection, but I would like to see a lot more about...well, Mark and Brian Flynn... and their passion for the classic and vintage kaiju toys. They were both so instrumental in bringing major attention to this hobby in the U.S. I'd also really like to see some spotlight on the super vintage collectors currently in Japan and more on the Tokyo underground toy shops and owners.

An inside look (in English)at the small Japanese vinyl toy production facilities and the men who paint the vinyls would be ultra sweet too!

All this may be easier said than done for the filmmakers, I realize...just a personal wish list.

No matter I'll be buying and watching whatever their slant.

really the only problem i had with the first one was that it was so short considering how much footage they seemed to have had. with the exception of that and the fonts used for subtitles, everything else was great. i hope this is just as good.

Wish it had a longer running time too...

I guess the concept was really to do a series, and I would assume, more footage from the first shoot will see its premier on the second or 3rd??

More like a Japanorama-type thing, without a host.

I liked the first one and the bonus features (Ikeda sculpting, outtakes) is a nice , well, bonus.

Do you think, Toypunks 2 will have a real bonus like a shirt or an exclusive toy?

it would probably cost way too much for them to do a bonus toy, maybe too much for a shirt as well. anyone have any idea how many copies were produced of volume 1? i'm guessing 1000ish but i might be way off.

A toy similar to H.MS "whatgives"? That version of the Thrashman is so cool---i hope something similar to this?

Last time they were supposed to do shirts..but I guess it was too expensiveor something..anyway I never ended up with one..but maybe this time..dunno?

I loved the first one - obviously done with real passion and determination. Can't wait for Volume 2..although I would like more footage, even if it's as bonus items. But maybe some of the Vol 1 stuff will find its way into Vol.2 after all I guess they didn't want to use all the footage without knowing the demand for the dvd.
