Would you see Propagandhi in 2009?
I'm debating getting tickets, but I'm not sure if its something better left in the past. I love "I'd Rather Be Flag Burning" /"How to clean everything" era more than Potemkin City Limits & the new stuff.
Does anyone know if they ever play older stuff, or is it all new?

i remember feeling this way about seeing the Descendents at the warped tour/ozzfest of '98 (or was it '97?). i was cautious, but in the end, i loved it.

i probably wouldn't
their older stuff was far better than the new stuff, and it's likely they'll focus more on the new.
plus i'd feel like a fake. i'm apathetic as all get out and they at least act like they care about changing the world. two kids and a mortgage aint punk

I saw them on the Potemkin City Limits tour. They were good but you can totally tell why they never tour. They hate it. They seemed so happy that the tour was over and it was their last show. They still sounded great and I really enjoyed their set. They played a decent mix of everything. Since they were touring on Potemkin they played a few more off that but the rest was a good mixture of the previous 3 albums. I will 110% see them if they play in Arizona in 2009. Really stoked about their new record.

Also the new record is really good. The 2nd guitarist really added a lot to the band. I like it way more than the last record.

Had to bring this thread back up. Their new record is out now, which if you haven't heard it, it's truly awesome. I think this video would surely make you want to see them this year. I hear they are doing a short west coast tour in April, I would hope to be so lucky. High quality video and high quality sound board audio. Check it out! http://www.moshcam.com/?#?page=player&type=gig&id=495

Propaghandi is worth seeing every time they come around. There newer albums are alot like there first split with ISPY. If you just want to see them play the Fat Wreckords era songs don't go.

they came through here a week or two ago. a couple of my friends made it out to the show. They said that they killed it. I'm not a huge fan, but I would go see them.

Re: Would you see Propagandhi in 2009?
I did go see them. They were good, but not great. I just don't think they have ever been a great live band. I agree that its clear that they don't enjoy it. Especially since we saw them after Paint it Black who are 100% a band that shines in a live setting. They only played 2 songs from How to Clean everything (Anti Manifesto-which was the highlight for me, and Haile Selassie) They also played Nation States, which could be said is from that split 10" with I spy, but most people probably know it best from Less Talk, More Rock. Otherwise, most of what they played was newer. I had a good time, and am definitely glad I went, since they have been one of my favorite bands for about 15 years, but I do wish I had a time machine instead! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd2yw4DCtbA
