Post Kind of Bloop
It's the 50th Anniversary of Miles Davis' classic album Kind of Blue, and just in time is Kind of Bloop, an 8-bit/chiptune track-by-track tribute to one of the best jazz albums of all time.

The idea is Kind of Bloop, an 8-bit tribute to Miles Davis's Kind of Blue, one of my favorite albums of all-time. I've always wondered what chiptune jazz covers would sound like. What would the jazz masters sound like on a Nintendo Entertainment System? Coltrane on a C-64? Mingus on Amiga?

Post Re: Kind of Bloop
Man I used to listen to Kind of Blue all the time when I was in school. Perfect album to just shut out the world. I kinda felt that the 8-bit tracks were muddy sounding. I expected the sound to be a bit more spare. Makes me realize just how tight those guys were back in the day.

Thanks for the link!
