Post glass cleaner
This might seem like a ridiculous question but have huge issue with my detolf glass getting cloudy. No matter what glass cleaner I use, it always comes out cloudy and streaky. Any tips or advice on cleaners?

I use a homemade mix of rubbing 1 part rubbing alcohol, 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water in a spray bottle and works great for glass and other shiny surfaces.

Thanks Ike. I'll check that stuff out. I really felt stupid asking but no matter how hard I clean I get cloudy streaks all over the glass. In fact no matter what I use it always ends up looking WORSE after I clean. I cleaned yesterday and it looks like crap. I kept thinking "wait is it the natural oils in my skin coming through the paper towels, the actual paper towels, the cleaner, what the hell is it?"

I like the foaming glass cleaners better than the liquid kind.

This may sound weird. But try using newspaper instead of paper towels to wipe off the cleaning solution.

Really newspaper? No shit. I work for a newspaper, got plenty of that. I would think the newsprint ink would cause all kinds of smears. File that under unexplained in my brain.

I use CRL foam glass cleaner. It works great on any glass without leaving any streaks.

you're stoked. I would think working at a newspaper, someone would have mentioned it. joking around the lunchroom..."hahahah....at least I don't have to buy paper towels to clean my windows....." no? something about the ink that actually prevents streaking.

just curious, do you have your set up in a room where you light candles? sometimes they can leave glass/mirrors cloudy after a while.

Hmmm my girlfriend loves to light candles in that room. I think I have the culprit!
