Dana White is a prick. He's the reason a lot of people won't go near UFC. He was hoping that when Pride folded they'd all come grovelling to him, some did, most didn't.

Dana deserves credit for helping get the company to where it is, but he is ridiculously full of himself, and not even in a funny or amusing way (like Vince McMahon or Mark Cuban). I really wish another company could come up and fill the #2 promotion spot nicely, if not overtake the UFC. PRIDE was making nice inroads in the US before they blew up. I thought Affliction was doomed from the start. Time will tell.

oh i dunno if anyone else has heard this, but they are setting up a fight for kimbo in Dec. so it would seem this was all a charade. not confirmed, but i've heard it

I think Kimbo's is a nice guy and can fight mike a mother fucker. BUT he's no martial artist, The saddest part of the match was how little damage Barnie Rubble did to him. Even thou Kimbo lost the other guy looked worse because of the sheer man hugness of the match and his cockiness after it all.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the fight, it was more of the refereeing. Start dropping bombs/working a submission or you are standing up, simple, smothering and half assed punches shouldn't cut it. It was apparent Kimbo's ground game problems start standing, he can't defend a takedown at all either. Those guys on youtube might be dumb enough to go toe to toe with him but I don't think any fighter is. Or maybe I am just being jaded and the future of fighting in America will be smothering each other with our fat asses.

If this is the case I think I can go pro. My smothering abilities are great.
