 Laptop advise ?
Well my ibook of 4 years finally died today, you will be missed......
So I'm looking to get a new laptop as its just easier, and where I live I don't have the space for a monitor and tower.
I was reading reviews of the Mac Book Pro and read a bunch of issues with denting of the uni body.
Does anyone here have the latest MBP and if so what do you think about denting issues ?
I was thinking of getting the 15" version ?
I need to find a new laptop soon as I cant live without, so any thoughts ?

what do you use your laptop for? Yeah a mac is what I want, I use it for everything, but mostly the everyday use and design in Photoshop. I really don't have the money to buy photshop again for PC.

I have one, but purchased a plastic case for it. It's transparent, so you wouldn't even know it was there. and protects the finish.

 Re: Laptop advise ?
Ive got the late 2009 MBP 15" Love it, Im not sure about dents but i did end up scratching the unibody which really pissed me off. I dont really move my laptop around much and basically just use it as a desktop. You can always look at getting a hardshell case, something i wish i did earlier. http://goincase.com/products/category/15%22+MacBook+Pro

 Re: Laptop advise ?
Yeah a hard shell case is what I was thinking would protect it from dents, but wasn't sure if it would really make a difference. From reviews across different sites it seems to fix the issue. I found this case, but cant tell if there is any ports for the computer to stay cool : http://www.ion-factory.com/macbook15_02.html#Actually just found a review, looks like a pretty good case : http://modmyi.com/reviews/ion-carbon-shell/

 Re: Laptop advise ?
I've not had trouble with my MBP denting. My work one has a few dings, but it doesn't bother me. I'd wait a little until whatever the next generation is. The current macbook's are more powerful than the entry level MBP's, so that makes me think there will be a big jump with the next release.

I wish I had the leisure to do so, but I use my laptop daily and can only go a good week without. So I have no choice but to grab whats currently available, and after reading I think I may just grab the 15" MBP. Its way better than what I have been using for the past few years so even with a new version on its way I'm still pretty happy.

 Re: Laptop advise ?
LOL...no disrespect or anything but I love how if you're a Apple user you only have one option and then I guess it's just down to what flavor you want or what generation. Anyway...just my side comment...../runs away.
