That's horrible!
She really sounds like she was jealous and/or starved for attention (I can't believe she didn't know how much these toys cost, your spouse would tend to know if your hobby is expensive
), but throwing out what you perceive as "your competition" and then trying to justify, that is pure wrong! While Mark doesn't always understand my Kaiju toys (he's sort of resigned himself to being foofed in all directions by a huge collection of plushies a long time ago
), he does understand that I love toys, and we would never throw out each other's things without asking. You have to realize how fortunate you are when you have a respectful spouse/partner, that or divorce usually ensues.
