 eagles of death metal - last night Last night at NOLA's One-Eyed Jack's, the Eagles of Death Metal played for the owner's b-day.
It was Jesse, Joey Castillo on drums, Dave Catching on guitar with a new bass player. Troy Van Leeuwen got on-stage, played guitar, and sang backup on a song or two.
The opening act was the club owner's project and included the former bassist of White Zombie and Pepper Kennan from COC and Down.

The show was very good. Got to hear songs from all 3 records.
They played two covers, one of which I think was a Rolling Stones song.
They played from about midnight to 2 am...
What else you want to know?
What makes bands like this fun is you never know who the musicians will be for any particular evening...

I've been to a burlesque show there, but we always seem to miss any good shows when we are in town.

Re: eagles of death metal - last night I like One-Eyed Jack's - it is kinda small but then you can see good from anywhere.
Besides EoDM, shows I have seen here include Butthole Surfers, Turbo Negro, and a metal showcase with High on Fire, Priestess, Bison BC, and Black Cobra.
