 Re: RIP ALICE
Just to clarify, the amount of warnings Alice has received over the years is silly, especially lately. At this point enough was enough. I am glad some of you thought he brought some life to the board, but the negativity overwhelmed anything positive he had to say. There is a difference between speaking your mind and just insulting and demeaning others just because you think you can for your perverse pleasure. Sarcasm is funny, being mean and hateful isn't. I am over it.
As a clarification to the complainers, to date there have been only three banned folks ever on skullbrain: Geo, Alice and another dud I can't remember. HMS has been invited back but has declined thus far. If you think that is mods stepping over the line, give me a break. Name any other board with only three banned individuals.
If you think the board has changed, maybe those folks you miss just went away on their own, or moved on to something else. There are still plenty of negative folks who just want to talk shit and never add anything positive still on the boards for reasons I will never understand. Somewhere along the lines, many of you forgot that toys were supposed to be fun. I hope you can find that joy again one day.

 Re: RIP ALICE
Brian - of course you're right. None of us know the totality of Stu's behavior on this board...unless someone's actually read every post he's ever made. Only the moderators would be aware of all of his "silliness". So you'll have to forgive me for basing my feelings/opinions on partial info. Based on what I saw from him I would certainly say he enjoyed testing the line, but also enjoyed testing the thickness of peoples' skin (the possession of which happens to be suggested in the unwritten rules)...and it sounds like from your perspective it was a pattern of behavior that could no longer be tolerated. And I can see that if I were Coop/Greg I'd get real sick of it.

riddlped needs something worse than his bans I think especially with this box of rocks thing...I'll never ever believe in Alice's ban, I think it's a load of shit I can't even really describe, but whatever coma21 wrote: is it okay to start talking about my little pony again?,,, Gareth did you see my pic for the photo contest this month i dedicate it to you lol I had to go look up that photo, that's delightful I dunno how far you are in the series but you should understand at least a few of the references in this song...Alice posted it in SOTD after he spotted it in my sig. he gets all the easy rhymes with "pony" out of the way immediately but after that it gets so real. contains some language not advised for younger pony fans. It seems that either self-defeating anarchists have taken over the Anon ID ... or possibly intelligence community operatives using the ID to discredit various protests around the country. This is not to disrespect the frustrations of the Occupy Wall Street protestors, but while Anonymous originally gained some degree of respect for their consciousness-raising re: Scientology, these days it appears to be an invitation for increased police state tactics.

Definitely agree with that. They are likely doing more harm than good. But I like the idea of what they're trying to be and do. They just need to think bigger - like an economic stuxnet.

Well, this is definitely a tangent and I have thought about the “Occupy Wall Street” stuff as well, and honestly some behavior might increase police state tactics, but the counter to that is the more people are screwed over by police state tactics, the more people then push back. In the case of “Occupy Wall Street”, let’s say the cops go off the deep end and start to bash heads, what is to be gained by that? Will that actually end the protests, or just get more people to join forces and say, “This is sick! The police can’t do that!” Right now I feel “Occupy Wall Street” might end up doing one thing more than anything without a stated goal: Show the world that this is not about race, but it’s about class. Too much of the economic “debate” has already been hijacked along race lines and “Occupy Wall Street” is showing that this recession affects us all on all levels. Now back to Alice. Sheesh!
