 SAL shipping
How long does SAL shipping usually take to get stuff to the states? I orderd 2 toys from Mandarake and since shipping was more than the 2 toys I skipped EMS and opted for SAL instead. Never do that again. Anyway I got an email which said items were shipped on December 14th and nothing yet. Is that normal? They gave me a tracking number but it's not much help. It still says origin post is prepairing to ship.

 Re: SAL shipping
2 weeks is nothing for SAL. It could take a month or longer. In my experience, it always arrives though.

 Re: SAL shipping
I ordered from Mandarake on 12/11 and I just got the package this past Saturday. I wouldn't worry Greg. Every time I order from there I use SAL. I have never had any trouble getting the shipments. Just gotta be patient.

 Re: SAL shipping
Thanks guys I feel better now. Just never waited 3 weeks for something, guess i'm lucky. I was worried with the holidays and how many mistakes the post office makes.

 Re: SAL shipping
SAL is absolutely fine....never had a problem with it here
it just takes slightly longer....sometimes a week,,,sometimes a month.....i'm a patient dude!!
factoring in the xmas mail rush,,,,i wouldn't fret too much about it......

 Re: SAL shipping
I recall reading somewhere that SAL shipments are thrown onto the plane by space. All the EMS [and other priority] mail gets loaded onto the plane first and then any empty space gets filled with SAL parcels. I have no way of confirming if this is true unfortunately. However I will say that whenever I order small stuff (individual games, books or movies) I tend to get them nearly as fast as with EMS; bulky Celga packages tend to be a complete crapshoot.
