Hi Jltohru,
It's a diecast beetle by UniFive. The character is from an old skool anime series: Time Bokan.
This one is actually a limited edition version. The original is blue with red striping. If you look at the poster, you can actually see the Buton in the upper left corner.

Also, if you compare the top pic to the second one, you can actually see the tiny wings popped out from the sides above the wheels. This is one of my favorite toys.

That's a real nice toy. And the phots are very sweet.
The Japanese are pretty fond of that sort of beetle it seems.

The beetle is called Kabutomushi (Helmet Beetle or something like that) in Japan, you can catch them here in the summer and its a really popular pastime with children and many adult collectors. They get pretty big, I have seem some about 4" long. The toys are sweet!!!!
