O.J. - If I Did It, Here's How It Happened
Apparently, O.J. Simpson pretty much confesses to the murders in this new book.
http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/11/1 ... index.html
Quote: One expert noted that the justice system's protection against so-called double jeopardy means Simpson's book, explosive as it may be, should not expose him to any new legal danger.
"He can write pretty much whatever he wants," said Laurie Levenson, a Loyola University law school professor and former federal prosecutor who has followed the case closely. "Unless he's confessing to killing somebody else, he can probably do this with impunity."
I remember when the verdict came out. I was in high school Spanish class, and many of the black students started cheering

My own memory of that is fond- I watched it live over slices at one of my (at the time) fave pizza joints in Jersey (Joe's in Kenvil).
So ridiculous and surreal.

I think Maz was being ironic (hopefully) but to be honest all of OJS's actions since the murder have added up to the same sentiment.
The fact that he's still walking around in public just goes to show how this country's worship of public figures (ie: celebrities) gets in the way of common sense.

Oh you crazy kids. I was at work!
The whole place stopped and was glued to the tv. You would have thought something really important had happened, like Princess Diana or JFK jr. dying.

I was just being a wise ass.
I'm always amazed when folks get all ruffled when celebrities die, or jump on a couch, or get married/divorced. It has zero impact on my life.
