 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
Hmm... sounds to me that in any case, spending money on any videogame applies to this. You really aren't getting anything, except for the playing. No difference than expansion packs, xbox live, etc...

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
I think Thanksgiving is still going on. Nothing worth getting. Gil has popped and is pushing folks to spend their donuts, which is pretty annoying.

is thansksgiving over? was anything cool given/worth playing? Do you have the options set so that you have to verify twice to buy anything? It's in the options menu. I sped up time a few times early on because of tapping too quickly. And the gil black friday thing was kind of lame, I didn't get anything. Now he's trying to sell Truckasaurus today.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
There were two new costumes and a few decorations. I really wish the Tapped Out and Family Guy games were more generous with their premium currencies. I'm not expecting to get everything in these games unless I spend real money (which I am not), but at least half of what is available in-game is premium-only, which is kind of ridiculous. I love how the games are totally conscious about how ridiculous it is to spend real money on them though, and how they constantly remind you it is! I love Happy Street in that same style: I've managed to get every premium building over the years without spending cash - I've actually bought a few things simply to tell them I enjoyed the game!

Now he's trying to sell Truckasaurus today. didnt know this was an option, def have to turn that on!! sure ive accidentally sped things up a few times and i dont fault them for that but in this instance they prompted you to buy a premimum item directly after a conversation exchange: i was just furiously tapping through the convo and all of sudden im placing a building. SO silly me i assumed that it was part of the mission and only cost $ and not donuts....next thing i release i have no more donuts!! DOH! such BS! oh well...

I got the Plastic Surgery (Stomach Staple Center) building, I believe this was part of the Thanksgiving missions.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
So there's a few items on the Christmas store, are any of those worth spending the 10 donuts? King Winter also looks fun but that's a lot of dough

King Winter also looks fun but that's a lot of dough Looks pretty cool but I have nowhere near the amount of donuts i need to get him for free. I took a break in between the stonecutters and halloween (halloween was too time consuming and tedious). I'm getting back into it for christmas, but i'm way behind. the family guy game has been increasingly more entertaining than tapped out, so that's where my attention went (has been going to). edit. and I'll be damned if I ever pay a single cent for any of this virtual stuff.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
I've been debating blowing $10 to get some donuts and get Lard Lad, I don't think I'd bother with any of the other stuff though.
Barney's Bowlarama is cool, but I wouldn't use 200 donuts on it.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
It seem like you won't get any character with it, is that correct? I prefer the ones with extra characters, but I still can't afford any. Has any one bought the golden tickets for the donuts? Are they any good? atease wrote: I've been debating blowing $10 to get some donuts and get Lard Lad, I don't think I'd bother with any of the other stuff though.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
FYI. Some of my friends want to remain "pure" when playing this game, and not get free donuts, but I have no problem with keeping my real-world money out of EA's coffers.
There is a forum on reddit for Tapped Out, called freedonuts. There's a form you fill out, gotta give them your game password (I change it, give it to them, then change it back when it's finished), and they lard you up with stuff. 10000 donuts. All the stuff you missed from previous levels... Dollars if you want it... I don't let this ruin the game for me, or anything.
You can't get stuff from the current phase of the game, you have to be at least level 17, and they kind of frown on anyone trying to get everything for free, but I have done this a couple of times and been happy with the result.

Thanks for that! I tried it yesterday and got my donuts within two hours. Didn't want any of the other stuff.

 Re: Simpsons Tapped Out
Anyone (or everyone) else's Balloon Pop game in Krustyland stop working? Not too happy since that was the primary ticket source. Thinking of stopping visiting there. Just a waste of time trying to establish another world.
