Wow, I just saw the news. RIP Roderick George Toombs, aka Roddy Piper. I was never a big wrestling fan, but They Live is one of those movies that will forever be appreciated by me as genius. His bouts and antics were classic, and as a boy from Saskatoon, I think he really enjoyed his career and what he did, which is why he had so many fans still. I think it really came across he enjoyed his character and was never resentful of his fame, which is not the same for a lot of others - he just had fun. A sad loss to many. Condolences to his family and friends.






Gone too soon. He will be missed.

Saw him last year at Steel City Con, he was VERY down to earth and seemed to relish the fans.
I have met 100s of famous folks and only a handful have shown that fame did not make them
into something they were not. He was up there at the top.

They Live showed us all how We Live.
