Re: Extreme Music Fans - Join in, anyone can play
I'll freely confess that I don't exactly know what extreme music is, as a codified genre - post-Burzum "metal"? - but here's a list of the first few outfits that came to mind that I'd like to see again/wish I'd ever had the chance to experience when I saw the title of this thread:
Godflesh Ilitch TG Necronomitron Gilbert/Hampson/Kendall Fushitsusha Universal Indians Big Black / Rapeman The Swans Skullflower The Dead C Boredoms Naked City
The early shit, where applicable.

^^^^
Zorn just came out to the West Coast a couple months ago, performing an all day event at UCLA... I guess he bounced around the campus, to various venues there and performed his various incarnations. I was bummed to have missed it. I would love to see Naked City and have the handful of different vocalists pop out throughout the performance... I think that would be pretty mindblowing

I don't see Big Black / Rapeman happening, but hey we can dream after all. At least GODFLESH is still doing shows. Time to listen to some House of Low Culture.

Re: Extreme Music Fans - Join in, anyone can play
Can’t beat a bit of Godflesh! It was a good year here for JK Broadrick gigs last year – He played as Final and Council Estate Electronics in July, JK Flesh in September, then Godflesh in December. Smell and Quim played at the September gig above also, that was extreme and fucked up on many levels! Also (varying in extreme-ness): Anything Zorn/Patton related Napalm Death Carcass Insect Warfare Scorn Necro Deathmort – going to see in September
