Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
There was a bar in Philly called Sugar Mom's that had some kaiju and jumbos as decoration. I wonder where those went once the bar closed down

Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
Well not Sofubi but interesting and somewhat related: I was just at Barnes and Noble and saw several new items including the Re-action figures, SHFiguarts Mario sets, and of course the infamous Funko Hikari ninja turtles and transformers. And of course lots of Pop and KR related stuff. I was surprised to see them so heavy into the designer toy game - certainly enough to rival small time shops :/ Most of their stuff is still over priced but the Reactions were $10, but selection was limited - they did have the full alien line.

Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
two spots come to mind. I recently spotted a Rat Fink in the shop window of my barber shop and in New York, on West 23rd, there's a place called Monster Sushi. behind the sushi counter are some toys. don't have my own good pic. but here's one from the web.

Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
I know we had a place on here for commercials, but was there one for movies too? Anyways, flipping through the load of rubbish on the tube last night, I completely randomly stumbled upon this. Never saw the film before, but this (sorry for the shitty screencap) is grabbed from Bicentennial Man (1999). A very odd appearance in the movie, let alone in this girl's room, and particularly "in the future". Full props <teehee> to the person who snuck it on set. Embiggened: That was it, just onscreen for a matter of seconds, but there ya go. I know it gave me a great big smile (and not just because I have and love this fella). Not sure there is any other scenes in her bedroom, I did a quick scan through the vid and didn't notice any, but there could be something else in the background by the lamp, maybe a dino?

Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
A few years ago I was walking along a street in the center of Milan and I noticed this in a furniture design store: This was during 'Il Salone del Mobile', also know as the Design Week. First and last time I've seen some sofubi in Milan (or in Italy or Europe now that I think of it).

Re: Weird Places You've Seen Sofubi
There is a bar here in Dallas that has a pretty decent collection of mostly Western vinyl.
