Nice, sours are king (or perhaps vizier, after rauchbiers). I could not be happier to see that this 'trend' is gradually sweeping away some of the IPA hipster attention. Something I have been meaning to share for a while too, this 'little' pick up, for those days when you really need it *(and I seem to have been having a lot of them lately).

das boot! sours are not my favorite but they are definitely an interesting style & I would take one over any random IPA.



This is far & away the best time of year, when the pumpkin ales & Oktoberfest beers start hitting the shelves.

Has anyone tried Ballast Point's Calm Before the Storm? Amazing cream ale. And all I like are heavy Imperial Stouts and IPA's.

I also believe EVERYTHING > ipa. Totally tired of that trend, its out of control here in California.

I just picked up ballast points calm before there storm. Very tasteful, you can really pick up on all the different levels of ingredients. I also want to try the pumpkin that they put out.

I personally enjoy IPA's, though I didn't always. When I first started drinking beer (when I turned 21 and became a barback) I could only enjoy Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale and Guineas (both on nitrous, poured perfectly so I was a bit spoiled...)

Eventually I moved on to Young 's double chocolate stout..then more chocolate stout. Than just regular stouta by different breweries, and at some point I started to just enjoy kind of what some might feel is "harsher" things..so naturally the hoppy IPA's I got into.

I guess for me, sometimes, I just enjoy the kick.

Sunday Morning Stout hit the shelves yesterday & promptly sold out everywhere.

I managed to score some for myself, still have a bottle of the 2015 from last years release.
