Post Open letter to board
I realize that posting an open letter like this is sometimes inviting trouble, but I just had an exchange with a member that I felt was somewhat encouraging, and I want to pass along my sentiments to EVERYONE on the board...

Quote:
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I don't have a problem with you personally and that I don't want there to be beef between me and you (or between me and anyone else). I think I've said this before, but I honestly am not trying to annoy or upset people. I am just trying to express my opinion...

Quote:
I'm not asking you to like me. Some people just don't get along that well. I understand that. I just don't want there to be open hostility between the two of us. Peace?

Quote:
I understand where you're coming from. I really should try to give people credit where credit is due way more often than I do. Super7 is an awesome store (my personal favorite), and Brian and Isaac have clearly done A LOT for this hobby in the United States. Apparently, I sometimes come across as an unabashed critic of Super7. I'm really not though. I like Super7 quite a lot. I've just failed to show it.

Again, I'm not asking anyone to like me. These are just my sincere feelings. Take from them what you will.

Is there really a need to post this?

I'm quoting myself. The other person's comments don't appear.

I think there is a need. You may not. I'm not asking for responses. It's up to you whether to read it or respond to it. I'd actually prefer that people don't reply (I'd hate for the thread to go downhill), but that's out of my hands.

How do we know you're quoting yourself accurately?

Are you joking? I can't tell. I removed one sentence as evidenced by the ellipsis at the end of the first quote. Here you go...

Quote:
I probably shouldn't have made the toady remark, but I get annoyed, too.

I know I haven't been posting here for a long time, but is airing dirty forum drama laundry really necessary? I love Super7 and what they're about, and have for a long time. We are all here for the same reason(s) (I hope) and this just seems like a waste of time to me.

But then again, I might just be a Fresh Meat.

I'm just extending an olive branch to people. Sometimes everybody takes this stuff way too seriously, me included. But if people want to hold a grudge, then so be it.

I'd prefer to fall into obscurity, believe it or not. I hardly posted during the month of March, and I plan on posting less and less in the future.

Seriously your problem from what I have witnessed now and in the past is you dont let stuff go. Try it once, people might forget the comments you made and get back to normal.

Yeah, I have trouble backing down. I agree with that. In some instances, it would probably be a good idea to let stuff slide. The same could be said of others though.

Way too many good quotes from you today.

Do you even realize how funny this statement is?

I've got a huge padlock that would fit great on this thread.

Hey, cut GB a break. I don't really blame him at all for feeling disappointed. If the fire is not stoked, it will quit burning soon.
I think we all have something better to do than this, huh?

It's all about the toys!

I didn't think so.

Thanks, DYBBUKIM. I agree. Let's let this thread die now. It has served its purpose (I hope).
