http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXAB7_4NcaIone of my favorites on Audio Blueprint before everything started to sound like Renegade Hardware in the late 90s. skip to the 2 minute mark if you're impatient.

Haven't seen or heard of it but it seems like (from the description) it is just one obsessed guy, reflecting on his pirate tape collection. He also has a dancehall dvd on that subject. Might be interesting though to hear from his perspective.

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
Funny I was digitizing that one a few weeks ago, along with many old Good Looking records. Both sides of that record are great. I've moved on to older Dread Recordings records (mostly under 20 in the catalog). Digitized Dark Soldier, Soulster, Deep & Rolling, Tear Out, Sing Time and Yes Yes records today. Old Dread, man I'll never forget the first time I heard 'Dark Soldier' dropped by Dieselboy back in 1996 at Club Fever in Philly. Lost my shit

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
I have been mixing and producing Drum n Bass Jungle for the past 10 years. I have some 12" vinyl releases I did with Dj Wally Pish Posh a few years back as "Class of 98" our big single being "NY Crunk n Bass". "YEah B*tch" was another one of our releases.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgIPWBYqEXUCheck out a little mix I did the other day in the crib: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20ZgBiC ... r_embedded

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
I have about 3,000 vinyl 12" records of strictly Jungle/Drum N Bass tunes ...... from 94'-2008-ish.
I also did a experimental hip hop album dubbed "Mrs. Millers House" with Wally. You can get it on I-tunes or Amazon.

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
I went to a lot of Jungle parties in the early nineties and countless Jungle tents in large outdoor Raves . . . here in the UK, where i lived, it was all about collecting tapes. I only knew one guy who actually bought the vinyl. When my friends and i first got into Rave, right at the end of the 80's it was just called Hardcore . . . we had House, Garage, Techno and Hardcore. After a while we became aware of this black sub-genre called Jungle, mainly black people putting on 'Junglist' nights with the MC much more prominent . . . I've always meant to digitize the big box of tapes i still have . Anyway, the DJ's i enjoyed the most on the one's and two's were: Micky Finn LTJ Bukem Ratty Grooverider Top Buzz SL2 / Slipmatt & Lime Jumping Jack Frost DJ Hype Dillinja VISION by The Moog Image Dump, on Flickr

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
this thread has inspired me to dust off my crates and rip some mp3s this weekend.
I have been wanting to hear some old Fresh Kutt tunes, any requests ???
I punched out around 2000 just after Renegade Hardware's Armageddon came out.

Re: the darkside has me pretty bad- oldskool jungle heads?
heres a shot of my CD collection. I have them in a better organizer now and will post a proper pic some time. during the heady Sinthetix days, I was able to acquire quite a bit of cdrs from artists. there are some diamonds here for sure.

I haven't even followed dnb since 2003 but recently went to my friends night while in Barcelona. He told me Doc Scott (who I've followed since the early days) is still doing great stuff. Been listening to his Future Beats podcasts on Soundcloud, really deep stuff: http://soundcloud.com/docscott31Great humble and enlightening 1.5 hr interview with him here: http://www.residentadvisor.net/podcast- ... change=104
