Psilo, would you give up social security or medicare (once considered socialist movements by the right)? Social security will not exist by the time any of us are old enough to use it, hence why 401ks are pushed at the corporate level. Eventually you run out of spending other people's money, I believe Margaret Thatcher is quoted as saying that about Socialism. Medicare can't be that far off, Obama's Affordable Care act in its current incarnation will inevitably bankrupt every healthcare network.
What conservative reforms do you want that you think would make the nation better? I am all for smaller government & personal responsibility. I grew up in NJ & lived in NY. Living in PA now is night & day, & I would venture to guess people who have spent their entire lives in any overtly "liberal" or "progressive" area have no idea what freedom really is unless you have experienced life somewhere else.
Do you think there is no global environmental crises? Are you afraid the dems are going to take away your guns? I believe climate change is a joke. Yes, industry will impact the environment without regulation but the EPA is an outright fraud. Would democrats destroy the second amendment if given the chance? Yes, that and everything else our founding fathers built this country on, in the name of "progress". And once those freedoms are gone, we will never get them back.
Do you really think "people of color" are programmed to vote D or that maybe they are voting in what hey see as slightly more in their best interests? Look at any urban area where democrats have held uncontested power for 50 or more years (DC, Baltimore, Chicago, etc). From crime rates to unemployment to the absolute failure of the education system, how is that in anyone's best interests?
have fun picking that apart & don't forget to tell me all about your feelings =)

We're expecting 12°C here today, that's totally blazing hot for mid-march.

So you're a scientist now and you have a proven scientifical model that disputes all the current scientific modeling done on greenhouse gases to this point? Climate change naysayers love to cherry pick data to prove their point instead of looking at the whole picture. Let's take a look at CO2 one of the main culprits on the rise due to human activity/pollution:
There is a simple equation a 5th grader could do to actually calculate the rise in temperature on the planet via CO2 emissions:
ΔT= λ x ΔF x ln(C/Co) where:
ΔT = the change in temperature λ = climate sensitivity= 0.8 ΔF= radiative forcing = (5.35 for CO2) C= Carbon in ppm (parts per million) currently Co= Carbon in ppm originally
Do this for any time period and you can calculate the change in temperature.

Let the dogpile begin!
Hey let's talk about the Trump rally in Chicago. MoveOn.org was there in numbers, their signs were everywhere. Leftys like to throw around the phrase "follow the money". MoveOn.org is owned and paid for by George Soros. This week he poured $15 million into an anti-Trump campaign for Hillary. He owed the Clintons for the pardon they gave him after ripping off not only banks & bankrupting nations back in 2000. This is the same George Soros who cataloged the assets of Jews for the Nazis during the Holocaust.
Regarding climate change, there is a difference between a mild warming influence & a catastrophic warming influence. I will leave it at that.

Sounds like you have no understanding of the Constitution, but go on. I am so interested in seeing you twist what I said to support your stupidity.

What's there to talk about Trumps Chicago Ralley? He canceled and tried saying Chicago Police advised him to cancel (they didn't).

What you have to look at with climate change is there is no instantaneous result. Change happens over time. While climate scale is nowhere near as slow as geological scale you can see/feel the effects of the temperature change in the last 100-150 years or so. I totally get that naysayers feel scientists get overly dramatic when explaining the outcomes of gloom and doom- BUT even if we drastically reduce carbon emissions now the effects of what we put in the atmosphere are going to felt for quite some time. That picture is not pretty because you will feel these effects in your lifetime and certainly your children will suffer from what we failed to stop. Scientists paint the doom and gloom picture to give you the worst case scenario to draw attention to the problem. It's not something you can just ignore and wish away. Bigger picture is climate change isn't just about the warming trend it's the postive feedback loop it sets in motion where many processes on the planet begin to change because of it.

Psilo, why do you end everything with a snarky remark or an insult? You do realize that is being 'emotional', don't you?
Do you believe we invaded Iraq for the right reason and support what we did there?

what's really sad is how common your perspective is among progressive types. They truly have no idea what America was built on & take our freedoms for granted.

lol keep moving those goal posts. We invaded Iraq because Kuwait gave us a better deal on oil than their neighbors. The second time around was a mess but I still support our troops.
And you can look at it like this: I am being attacked from all angles, so I apologize in advance if my defense is brutal or less than sporting. Why should I hold back against the same people who take shots at me literally every chance they get?

Taking shots is up to you. React how you want. I haven't taken any shots at you at all but you've still made reactionary comments. I am trying to treat you with respect. You and I are on opposite sides of the spectrum but I appreciate your enthusiasm. But you can also look back at your posts and see that you've made shots in general when nothing is posted towards you, ie "libtards" (though I love that one and am proud to be one).
I am not moving the goal posts either. I am just curious how the "others" think. Some of my friends are very conservative but you are a bit extreme so your views are of interest to me.

Actually just that one bit, as I thought "This is the same George Soros who cataloged the assets of Jews for the Nazis during the Holocaust" was worth looking up.

Psilo, "We invaded Iraq because Kuwait gave us a better deal on oil than their neighbors." wasn't what I asked but still leads to a bigger ...huh? What you said doesn't make sense (though the wars didn't either). But it sounds like "I robbed Nordstroms because there was a sale at Macy's."
Care to reiterate?
