Psilo, would you give up social security or medicare (once considered socialist movements by the right)? Social security will not exist by the time any of us are old enough to use it, hence why 401ks are pushed at the corporate level. Eventually you run out of spending other people's money, I believe Margaret Thatcher is quoted as saying that about Socialism. Medicare can't be that far off, Obama's Affordable Care act in its current incarnation will inevitably bankrupt every healthcare network.

What conservative reforms do you want that you think would make the nation better? I am all for smaller government & personal responsibility. I grew up in NJ & lived in NY. Living in PA now is night & day, & I would venture to guess people who have spent their entire lives in any overtly "liberal" or "progressive" area have no idea what freedom really is unless you have experienced life somewhere else.

Yes, industry will impact the environment without regulation but the EPA is an outright fraud. Would democrats destroy the second amendment if given the chance? Yes, that and everything else our founding fathers built this country on, in the name of "progress". And once those freedoms are gone, we will never get them back.

Do you really think "people of color" are programmed to vote D or that maybe they are voting in what hey see as slightly more in their best interests? Look at any urban area where democrats have held uncontested power for 50 or more years (DC, Baltimore, Chicago, etc). From crime rates to unemployment to the absolute failure of the education system, how is that in anyone's best interests?
