Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
Walkers materialized out of nowhere left and right in that one. How many of the Michonne group in the woods died due to a zombie that magically appeared right behind them?
The idea of all the pets left to starve in their cages was pretty sad.

Apparently everyone in Alexandria is also deaf. Who would not hear a zombie shuffling towards them in the woods? Leaves, twigs on the forest floor and they drag their feet usually?

I am still amazed at how horribly the Andrea character was handled from start to finish. In the comics she is one of the most loved characters. In the show she was written and played like shit from the very beginning. I actually stopped watching because so much of the focus was on her worthless character and plot line then I heard she was dead she I tuned back in.

There were zombies on the other side. Even if it was just 10, jumping over into 10 zombies is pretty much suicide, but then again better odds than staying on the dumpster.

I had a look at those side fences as they were running down the alley. They could have pushed that dumpster over to the left and climbed over into that thick brush of trees if the zombies following had not suddenly gained the ability to beam right next them. The side that had the barbed wire on top I guess was a no go, but still I'd take my chances with 10 than 500. They both had guns, that's at least 10 shots between them and given how everyone is a headshot ace?
An also WTF would you run down an alley that clearly is blocked with barbed wire on top and trap yourself? When they saw the herds coming they had a million options to run in several directions. The zombies were far enough away to make a better decision. Glenn knows not to trap himself. Going back to episode 2 of the first season he mentions not getting trapped.
Glenn was Jesus in that episode. Trusting Judas, and getting himself killed for trusting Judas, and knowing that Judas was untrustworthy from the beginning. Now he "hides in a cave" for 3 episodes and comes back to life.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
It was Nicholas' fault that they got trapped. He had no idea where to go. Glenn was following his lead.
I think they could have easily climbed that chain link as well, and am most bothered by that than anything else in the episode. Glenn has had to get out of worse situations than that.

Well there's his first mistake. Glenn knows better than that! I'd a been like: "OK I know I'm trying to rehabilitate your dumb ass into a respectable person but junior league escape plan time is done, time for me to take over this situation!"

Hilarious, and probably spot on!
I've revised my reasons for being bummed out by this thread - it's not that I mind the enthusiastic debate over this particular entertainment, but I wish that we were wasting our time going on about some of the many programs on the air that are actually good, too!

They cancelled Hannibal and Fringe has been over for years so there isn't anything else worth talking about.

Such a bummer that nobody picked up Hannibal. Fringe, on the other hand, slipped the rails about two seasons before they called it quits.
I thought Nicolas was going to "revert" to his cowardly ways & push Glenn off the dumpster to give himself more room ... and agree that they should have been able to jump on fence to the side or at least try climbing the barbed wire .... maybe if Nicolas hadn't had all the ringing in his head , he could have calmed down long enough to try for a jumping plan ?
still liking these first 3 episodes fairly well ..

I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of Hannibal, but the 3rd season ruined it for me.

Glenn is dead. There's no way he got out of that spot. I enjoyed Fringe for a few seasons, still have yet to see Hannibal.

The third season suffered from a lack of food preparation which for whatever reason was one of my favorite parts of the shows. And the dragon guy was kind of boring.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
A little more interesting then usual. Do the directors think they are creative or that the audience is dumb? B&w to show flashbacks to the previous week the first episode of this season) and the soft background focus to show Morgan has gone into rage (isn't that what acting is for?).

I watched Talking Dead and they said it was well written and well acted. They must be right, no ? Different does not make it better though, I think it was all to predictable, even for us, the dumb audience.
Family Guys exceeded with a similar approach in 2010 Brian & Stewie episode.

Re: The Walking Dead television series!!!!
I like John Carroll Lynch as an actor so his character Eastmen was a nice surprise.
I could have done less with the Morgan is insane and we have to show you how angry he is 80 times over, and more of a cold opening showing how he lost his son and how he escaped his fortress of solitude burning down. Again overall not a bad episode, but the writers ALWAYS choose lame character reinforcement scenes that we get already over nice juicy bits most people want to see
