I haven't done one of these for a while, and since work is dead right now, figured what better time to post a personal bio/update.

My name is Adam. I am 30 years old and live with my beatiful Wife, our Autrialian Shepard, Wiley, and our current roomate (hopefully not much longer), my Brother, Jeremy, AKA Dip Vertigo 1/2 of Maximum Moves (D'n'B duo). I am the middle child and my older sister will be giving birth to my Niece or Nephew in 3 weeks (possibly sooner)... We are VERY EXCITED!

I work as a property and casualty Insurance agent/producer for small to large businesses. I sell Commercial Insurance. I have been in insurance for over 6 years. The company is family run and was started by my grandfather just over 40 years ago. I hope to take over the business one day and work along side (not for) my father.

I definetely have the "Collecting Bug" as I have collected everything from Baseball Cards, Pez, Bobble Heads (FUNKO), Transformers, McFarlane, Concert Posters, Designer Toys, to now, my favorite - Japanese Vinyl and new Kaiju Fight Figures (SxB, RxH, Blobpus, Gargamel, etc) and some Western Vinyl. Also getting into art prints (orginals when I can afford them)and enjoy going to galleries, toy releases and events. I have met a handful of Skullbrainers (LASK) and hope to meet more of you guys in the future at some point.

Sorry to bore you with some of this info but like I said, been a while.

Anywho, here's a pic of me and my wife - Engagement Photo:

I will post some pics of our dog when I upload them (for those interested)

well here goes nothing.....
most people here know me....I think....I used to post more but family life and growing up has kept me away at times......
My name is Cesar...I am 36, live in Brooklyn but am a Cali native...
From LA to the BAY to BK to right now....
At the end of 1999 I moved to New York...my first jump into the toy world was at TT...I was hooked on Kubricks but some cat named Michael Lau really caught my eye but I didn't know anything about what was really going on in the toy world....One day I happened to come across 360 Toy Group and met this cat named Jakuan....it was a key moment for me in the toy game....he schooled me and dropped mad knowledge on me on what was crackin' and what was what. I would always go to see what was new and shit. I was sprung on BxH and was somewhat intrigued by this little brain character made by these guys at Secret Base? Anyway, as my knowledge increased...so did my collection....till one day a friend of mine said, "hey Cesar ...I have a homeboy who collects toys...you two should meet because your apartments look alike." Since I wasn't into meeting random people I turned him down...but he kept asking me to meet his buddy so I finally gave in and we met up to chop it up about toys. This guys name was Isaac and before you could say Skullbrain we were tight homies. It was buggin to meet someone who had so many of the same likes and dislikes...whats funny is we each had toys the other person had been looking for...Fast forward to now...or at least a couple years ago? after my homie moved away he comes up with an idea to start a board for Vinyl Toys....and here we are....its really crazy to see how far this has all come and to meet so many different people from all walks of life who are down for toys...from the heart...I think I will stop right here before this starts to sound like a love letter.

Oh yeah, I also like and collect: Kicks, Vinyl and Artwork and tattoos...

Beanie Babies Por Vida.......

Howdy all,

My name is Dean. Originally from San Mateo, California, I've lived in San Francisco for all of my adult life with the exception of a couple of brief attempts at living elsewhere. I work in tech, specifically the digital music biz at the moment. I loved Japanese monsters as a kid, but it was my younger brother who was truly obsessed. Because he was buying kaiju in the '70s I feel fortunate to have a lot of memories of those figures and their colorways. I started collecting vinyl very recently, roughly January 1st of this year.

I tend to be very, very obsessive with new interests and feel like I've learned so much in just a few months. I've also managed to collect what I think are some very fine pieces, at least for a newb.

I love art and music and am a very active patron of live music and performance and enjoy weekly excursions to various art galleries. I have another hobby in 3D CG illustration.

Although I'm very much a California boy I'm fascinated by Japanese and Mexican cultures to no end.

The S7 staff and the regulars here have been very helpful to and friendly with me, and for that I'm grateful. I hope to contribute to the collector community as a fellow participant in the fun and as a fair and conscientious trader. So far, all that's been going really well.

hi im Ethan. i'm 28 years old and live just outside washington d.c. I collected a lot of shit when I was younger like GI Joe, Micro Machine, & Sports cards. I had a lot of other cool shit but it would always seem to get lost during one of the many times I moved in my younger days. Ive lived in Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Canada, France, & Belgium though I seem to be settled now, it's definitely nice to feel rooted somewhere..finally.

Now my vinyl craze started with the western shit. Im still into KAWS, Futura and a couple others but I'm now more intrigued by the japanese stuff. I started off buying Bearbricks & Kubricks but I tired of them, they're just too small. Yesterday I got my first Damnedron & some Smoking Corps figs. My dog wants to eat the Smoking Corps figs, here's a photo of 'em.

(my dog turk is lookin' at me like: " would you get off the fuckn computer for once and play with me!")

My other interests include car enthusiast (VW), Electronic music (, movies (Kubrick, Kurosawa, Leone, Jarmusch, I could go on and on) and 'm also a big fan on DIY when it comes to anything.

Hi I'm Ben. I'm currently living in Berkeley. I'm a comic book artist and toy maker, but my current day job is being a tester for a game company in SF. I've been collecting vinyl toys for about 3 years now but ever since I joined the RFSO boards (Thanks to Kirkland~) My love and knowledge and appreciation for kaiju has increased 10 fold! Along with my credit card bills! Everyone on this board is awesome! I love seeing other's collections!! It's a pleasure to meet you all!

Hi all,
I'm Bert and my family name is one letter off from looking like gatchalien. I don't really remember when I started collecting toys but I do remember watching episodes of Go Rangers, Mazinger Z, and Voltes V...along with Gatchaman (or Battle of the Planets) at a very young age. I can probably wear a different shoe everyday for a month and own well over 250 cars...granted that all the cars are just about an inch in size. I live 4 blocks from Super7 and see Karen (you know...that girl that works at Super7) walking around my neighborhood sometimes (but she's always on her cellphone so I never say "Hi." to her). I've seen Brian F. near my work place (but never say "Hi." cause he's way on the other side of the street and I'm not looking to get run over), and my toy collection is just a hodge-podge of variety. My sister thinks there needs to be some kind of intervention because of my toy habit. I think she's just funny.

continuing the introductions...

Hello, my name is Scott. I work in a wine store, and often practice my work at home in the pursuit of perfection. I got into back into toys after a lengthy hiatus via an ad in Juxtapose for Kozik's Bone Bunny (which I still think is the best Labbit out there), having formerly been a fan of GI Joe, Star Wars, Lego, Erector sets (no dick jokes) and wooden blocks in my youth. I grew up in the midwestern countryside, where Godzilla only occasionally roamed the TV screen. An extended collegiate education netted an art degree that is buried in a drawer (doubtlessly underneath some toys) and a persistent sense of boyish, wide-eyed curiosity tinged ever-so-slightly with callous selfishness and negativism. I try to make the best of things by hacking fumes off the vinyl toys I overspend on. And by borrowing happiness from my lovely wife, who kindly tolerates the excesses of my inner child...

Like others here, I also care for one of the planets finest creatures...here I am with cowgirl Lulu...

Hi,

My name is Matt and I love Kaiju.

I have been collection toys for years, starting w/ vintage Star Wars stuff, took a swift stop in 'urban vinyl' then moved onto the real stuff

Im a Web Designer from High in the mountains of Colorado, but I have lived in a few cities including New York. I attended the Art Institute of CO and NY. I live in Denver now and work for an online television station making the internet.

My current favorites are: Rainbow vinyls, RxH, Gargamel, Anraku, Exohead and Skull Toys. I also try to collect prints and posters that dont exceed my budget. I live w/ my girlfriend Sarah, and enjoy movies, skiing, hiking, travel, design, and music.

here I am (no not the pig, im on the far right)

My name is Chris and I'm the Undisputed Champion of many Hamburger Eating Contests in the Bay Area. Here's a shot of me preparing to humiiate yet another young comer at a 4th of July cookout. Poor guy never had a chance. I attribute my super-human burger consumption abilities to years of pent-up meat craving due to vegetarianism...

Image

I've been collecting Japanese Toys since the mid '90's, and came to this board from Toyboxdx through the urgings of Roger, who axed that I post some pics here.

I gotta' tell you--- before I was a member, I thought this place was all about Western Toys and KR shit. I think the 'American Idols' and 'Kubricks' sections scared me away when I would visit.
But since becoming a member I've learned a lot about the toys I truly love---Japanese Kaiju!
