If you look at the art that's for sale, He's selling work by KeffPristine, which besides being himself is also his name on Instagram. He's in San Diego, so I'm guessing some of you guys know him. Also I know we talked about personal info, but I really don't think his real name is Keff Pristine.

Re: oust the flipper
Just so everyone knows, I purchased his Hobo off eBay earlier today to get his PayPal info. It has been forwarded to Hirota. If people have Nag contact info PM and I will give you the details.
I'm so bummed to see how high that thing sold for. I feel like my actions will be to late but here's to hoping. I will post if H gets back to me.

Awesome, Hank!
Maxaltoman is in Tokyo. He did offer to communicate with H earlier on. You might want to forward the info to him if you don't hear from H.

That thing probably didn't sell. He probably is a shill bidder and drove it up and sold it to himself. If there are idiots throwing that kind of cash out there for something this- a fool an his money are soon parted. I have a bridge I can sell you....

Re: oust the flipper
Bansheebot, I dont think asking for 5 dollars off a purchase of 5 toys at your asking price is lowballing. That said, thanks for selling me that grody for double retail and those docross to me. you wont see those on ebay anytime soon. (Well except maybe the blue docross you insisted on including even though I said already had 2 of them)
As for the ju, there's one thing you guys aren't taking into consideration -I didn't win the lottery and I bought it on the aftermarket. (The identity of the seller will remain anonymous as I'm respectful enough not to out him, but if he wants to come forward let him.) I acquired it to use as trade bait for a Tara Nag. But when things didn't work out and I got nothing but insulting offers, on top of losing my job last month thanks to visiting the bloglin at work, I decided "screw it, take it on the bay!" It ended way higher than I thought it would, but I think the top bidder is one of you guys so I'll probably have to relist it.
I'm just trying aquire to stupid pieces of plastic like you. After the many years I've spent here and multiple other forums I've come to the realization that I don't belive for a second the BS circlejerking and double standard hypocrisy about aftermarket. I've been an anti flipping advocate, I know the ideal and mantra, but I've had my generosity taken advantage of so many times that I don't care anymore. Try living in a remote area where nobody cares about what you collect, never meeting or befriending anyone in the scene in CA or NY, and never being able to attend events - IT SUCKS. Aftermarket or the 1/1000 chance of winning the rare online lotto is your only option.
I got offered a Shig bootleg for 1000 a few days after they sold out. Did I tell the seller f*** off? No, I respectfully declined because the Tara nag is a higher priority. When I got approached by D-lux with a morbius bootleg at the price he paid (which was also over retail) but still a hook up, you can bet I returned the favor and hooked him up with a GID grody at retail. Since my ebay handle has finally been revealed, I can finally go ahead and offer him the gid NUG he wants at retail as well if he still wants it. (Grody toys are great but the blind sell aspect totally sucks)
Lastly, as for the whole concept of this thread, Everyone flips. Some more so than others, but do remember that resellers come with the territory and are never going away. Also remember that some of them are diehard collectors like you. When you're dealing with a niche market of artifically rare toys things are going to align this way no matter what. I've paid well over retail on certain figures and I have little regrets about it anymore. Resellers are providing a necessary service, and after dealing with them on many occasions I have no regrets about becoming one.
To those who keep mentioning that purple Maza I asked about, I dont have one. I asked about run size because I was wondering how realistic it would be to obtain one.
Daimyo you're thinking of the wrong guy. I don't list any seagools or anything PK.
Psilo, I already wasted enough of my time talking to you on the other board. I got hit with an item not recieved complaint for close to a grand when some dopehead overseas dropped a claim on me. You have no idea how relucant I was to sell that GID and trooper. After all the drama was said and done I sold them for less than I paid to get myself out of the whole. Shut your mouth unless you know what you're talking about.
Russblue, if I finally won a NAG lotto over the last two years of trying, I'd keep it.
bbb, what hack graf artist are you talking about? I'm not a big enough tool to make and sell 'street art'.
To summarize - Yes, the account in question is indeed me.

Re: oust the flipper
Amethystcape I have just one question for you. You admit to entering the lottery and not winning correct? I can understand you over paying for this in the secondary market no doubt. BUT you did enter the lottery man. You know what Hirota said about reselling this right? It was right on the page. Why would you risk ruining it for all of us and him banning overseas sales by throwing it up on ebay? Surely there were enough people here after them. You could have kept the sale private? That part I don't get. I'm writing all of this in a really calm manner also.

(Well except maybe the blue docross you insisted on including even though I said already had 2 of them) Not that I feel I should have to defend myself to a flipper, but let's be clear here: You paid me $60. So, basically $20 for the Docrosses and $40 for the Monster. You're telling me that those Monsters retailed for $20? I mean, I didn't buy it retail, I traded for it, so I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. Someone tell me if I'm wrong. Lowballing is lowballing whether it's $5 or not. Shipping, packaging and delivery confirmation is included in all of my prices. Asking for a better deal is ridiculous, but hey, I hope that $5 helps cover some of your eBay fees. Nice try, though.

If I managed to pay retail for it I'd probably move it low key here. (Or I'd probably just keep it, because the missile I got with it looks awesome) Since I paid how much I did the only way I thought I'd realistically get my money back is to go through a public venue. Offering it to the want list people here with a price tag 10 times over retail would be a great way to burn bridges.

Re: oust the flipper
You wouldn't want to burn any bridges now. That's bad. I have no sympathy for flippers or trade flippers. The everyone is a flipper comment is incorrect. I have 99.9% of every Japanese vinyl figure that I have ever bought. I have probably traded twice. Not trade flipped either. I can't understand why you would sell that figure in a public auction after the maker posted his thoughts on that issue. That is a horrible and thoughtless thing to do. Regardless of your story.

The first few runs of monsters retailed for 20 per. They started upping the price gradually over time but that's irrelevant because I'm paying for the time and effort required to obtain one. I'm not saying you're a flipper. I thought the price I paid was very fair, but the fact remains is that I bought at a markup. (Value is in the eye of the beholder, etc.) I didn't mean to come across as an attack, and I don't have any ill will towards you.

http://www.lulubelltoys.com/monster-bli ... y-blu.htmlYou're right -- I apologize wholeheartedly for that $10 'markup.' Check out the flipper trying to talk about paying retail for a toy. Mind bottling.

Re: oust the flipper
So your answer to Lixx's question is: You paid way too much for the toy in the aftermarket. So, despite being aware of the possibility that listing it on eBay would cause the discontinuation of overseas sales, you threw it up for auction anyway. Because as long as you get what you need out of it, fuck it if no one in the US, Europe or anywhere else has a shot at those toys ever again... That about sum it up? amethystcape wrote: Lixx wrote: Amethystcape I have just one question for you. You admit to entering the lottery and not winning correct? Re: oust the flipper
@amethystcape You bought it as trade bait?!!! Whatever that's acquired from here, through here, we like it to stay here. If the trade failed you could offer it for sale here. We do see members getting on eBay, but that's after there's no takers here. Anything that goes directly to eBay is just fucking lame. These things happen now and again. Reasons are just excuses that makes the perpetrator look even stupider.
